A ghost is an apparition of a dead person, they are believed to appear to the living and haunt them if they're disturbed by them. They are seen as evil spirits who will never be stopped for they have amazing and strong powers, that science will never explain.

Some say that ghosts are merely fairy tales or stories made up by other people. Stories that will never have proof.

That's why most of us humans never believe in them.

But not for the people in that one small town. A small town that is known because of one mere incident that happened in 2000.

It was about a rich family. Well known and very respected. All the townspeople loved them, for they bring positivity in their small town.

The couple in this family is said to have seven daughters. Very disciplined, beautiful, smart and talented.

You may think that these siblings bring pride in the family, that their parents must be so proud of them. But no, the mother of these children hated these siblings. Even since she was married, the only thing she wanted is a son. So she never respected them at all and always abused them when her husband is away.

They may be seen as siblings but none of them comes from one father only. Their mother married seven different men, and all of them died in the same room, for the same reason—a heart attack. Well that's what the other rumors said.

Other people said that they have seen the mother, drenched in blood, her eyes were very emotionless while sitting in the backyard, laughing by herself. And the people who talked about these kind of rumors were never seen again.

Her last husband actually died on 1999, and after that darkness was brought into the family. The mother gave up on her dream of having a son. She became more mental after giving birth to another daughter.

She threatened to kill all of her daughters for she see them as bad luck in her life.

That day she locked up all of them in one room, where all of their fathers died.

The siblings were pitiful, for they were scared as days passed. When the clock strikes 9 the siblings always hide for their lives. It may be under the bed, inside the closet, or just anywhere! For they want to survive from their mother. Because whenever that time comes, their mother comes to visit them holding a knife, finding them—hungry for the siblings's death.

She would always sit on the bed, waiting for one of them to be seen. When 30 minutes pass, the mother comes back outside and that is the time when the siblings are safe to go outside.

This kind of happening went on and repeated for months.

Not until the youngest of the siblings, turned 1 year old. They decided to escape their house, and escape their mother. If all of them can sneak out of their room at night just to get food to eat, they could also escape their house without their mother knowing.

When this happened, all of them were holding hands, as they went outside the room. Their hearts thumping as they walk quietly, hoping that they will escape safely without leaving anyone behind.

It was dark that time, they could barely see anything. Darkness spread across the large hallways, it was so quiet that making one noise can risk their plan to fail by just making one mistake. But that didn't stop them. They went through the dark and scary hallways, down the large set of stairs, almost reaching their destination.

Their hearts were full of joy by the time they reached the door, but that wasn't that easy.

The whole time that they were trying to escape they didn't know that their mother had been following them.

She pulled the eldest's of the siblings hand and pulled her towards her. She placed her precious knife near the poor girl's neck. Then, she locked the door, to prevent them in escaping. 

At that time the youngest was the only one who got out of the door safely, she was running away tears on her eyes. By escaping she remembered the words that her eldest sister, Jiyoo, said to her.

"Gahyeon, once you get outside the house don't look back, run away no matter what happens. Your other sisters and I will be splitting up, and have our own paths. Don't worry we will still see each other somewhere in town. I will find each one of you and we will be together again, your unnie is sure of that. Just remember, never... ever... come back to this house."

But she didn't know that her other sisters already got murdered by her mother. After killing all of the siblings that was left, the mother was crying while laughing as she finished her deed, she felt in peace for some reason. So before getting caught by the police, she also stabbed herself in the chest with a knife. Blood was spilt everywhere the room, the siblings  held each other's hand before their last breath, with tears on their eyes, and said this words.

"We will never let people bother us, ever again."

After that day the townspeople noticed this tragic incident, and went to see what happened. Police investigated about this horrible incident and barely got anything but the next day for their investigation, the bodies were never seen again.

Gahyeon was seen crying somewhere in town the day after the accident. A couple from Busan who visited the town took pity on her, and decided to adopt her that day, knowing what happened to her sisters. She was raised well by the couple but even though she was just 1 year old that time, she will never forget that traumatic happening in her life. 

And after she moved to Busan and grew up, she found more stories about her old home. They said that ghosts can be seen inside that house, and whoever bothers to go inside that house never comes back outside.

 Even if she find this kind of things scary she swore to herself to find her sisters, because deep inside she knows that they are not really dead, and still living in that house.
