"Wh-what?" I frozed, wishing that all he said was false.

"I'm sorry hyung. We didn't want to tell you because we know that you'll freak out. This actually started since last week when Jimin told us about this but he was fine then so we really didn't mind it at first," Hoseok said, looking down the floor as he tried to explain the situation.

"If you happen to notice that Jimin was sleeping a lot these days, it's because he said that was feeling tired all the time. We really thought that he only felt tired because of the Daegu trip but I think that that is not the case anymore. It's worse than that," Hoseok continued as he twiddled with his fingers.

"Why did you guys only tell me now?"

"We tried to find a chance to say it to you," Hoseok said, walking up to me. I could see that he was trying his best to explain everything to me but I can't take it anymore– I can never take seeing another member I'm close to suffering... again.

It was a story I didn't want to remember again.

I know that they hid this so I could retain my sanity, unlike what happened in the past. I became depressed and it became worse as time passed. But the guys were there for me so it didn't really last, especially when Jimin joined our group after 2 years after our group was created.

He became one of my close friends, that's why he became my partner when it comes to being a detective.

I can't let him suffer too. Not like this.

"Hyung..." Hoseok breathed out, as he put a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry if we only told you now..."

I nodded in return, feeling all the pain in my heart. Even though I felt betrayed, I needed to sray strong again and not repeat my reckless actions from the past. "Who else knows about this?" I asked, looking up to Hoseok.

"Namjoon and Jin hyung."

"I need to talk to Namjoon."

I led the both of the girls upstairs. I didn't talk that much as we walked up to the maknaes's room. I really felt regret for not telling Yoongi earlier than today. It was wrong of us to hide it but we did it for him.

I can still remember the sight of him clenching his fists as I was telling him everything a while ago.

I really didn't look at his face that time because I don't want to feel guilty anymore. I just did what Namjoon asked us what to do. He said that it was for the best if the others doesn't know about it yet. Good thing, Taheyung didn't find it weird this morning.

I sighed deeply, as we were near to the room.

I didn't expect that this investigation for one article could already do this big of a damage in our lives. I know that we investigated about this because we know that this could get our jobs back but this was the most dangerous investigation yet.

"Uhh, Jin oppa? You okay?" Gahyeon asked as she looked at me.

I smiled, and nodded my head. "I'm okay Gahyeon. I'm completely fine." I replied as we finally arrived in front of the room.

I gulped as I slowly turned the door knob, doing my best not to startle Jimin again.

As I successfully opened the door, I saw the that both of the girls's reaction changed into shocked ones.

They finally saw the sight of Jimin being in such a bad condition. His face was really pale, the chubby cheeks he had disappeared as if he didn't ate for weeks, and his expressionless face which didn't change the moment we entered the room.

"I'll leave you guys for a while, and let you talk to Jimin," I told the two girls who nodded politely. "Please take care him while I'm away." I said finally waving goodbye at them as I closed the door behind me.

"Oh wait! Jin oppa... I think we need you here," Yoohyeon said, as she prevented the door to completely close.

"Why?"

"We need you to be here with him. He needs a companion," Yoohyeon said, slowly opening the door.

"Okay fine, but I need to be quick. I still need to do something," I said entering the room.

I really needed to talk to Yoongi but I think Yoohyeon was right about Jimin needing a companion.

We approached the brown-haired guy who was staring quietly at his hands. He slowly looked up to us, and smiled weakly but his eyes tells a different story, he was scared.

"Jimin, you can tell us what happened already," I said, hoping for him to answer.

"I..." He started to talk with a husky voice this time. "I don't remember everything exactly but I'll try to tell you guys what I know," He said, coughing in between phrases. "All I remember was a black figure chasing me down a dark hall. And the next thing I know I was pinned down the floor, and was having a hard time to breath while there was white smoke going out of my mouth."

"I didn't want to tell it to the hyungs earlier because I don't want them to worry that much for me. That's why I wanted Gahyeon and Yoohyeon check on me since they experienced having this kind of dreams too."

I saw Yoohyeon sigh deeply, frustration written all over her face. "I should've..." I hear her mumbling whilst she was looking at Jimin.

"But we haven't experienced feeling weak after having one though, right unnie?" Gahyeon asked, turning her head to her older sister.

"Actually, to be honest I experienced it," Yoohyeon said, making us wide-eyed. "And I know what's exactly happening to him."

"Is it bad?" Jimin asked, still having the husky texture on his voice as he sat up.

"Yes, because if we don't act now, you may lose your life in just making one mistake and all of us will be in danger." She said, crossing her arms, biting her lower lip. "Actually this is connected to the mistake I have done."

"Why did you just tell us now?" I asked, a little bit furious. If she knew that it could harm all of us Yoohyeon could have warned us earlier! But no, Jimin's life is already in danger.

"I'm sorry, I was just scared," Yoohyeon said, pursing her lips after.

"It's okay, unnie. Just tell us now and we'll take care of it together."

"Well... we all know that the people behind these nightmares are our sisters..." She said, looking at Gahyeon. "They control what happens in it because they feed on our dreams in order to remain in this world, but the goal is not to get caught by them because if you do they'll take a part of your life, which is the white smoke, which is also a part of your soul. That's why Jimin gets weaker and weaker everytime he has a nightmare. And if we don't stop this now, Jimin will disappear and his body will be taken over by the one who is showing up in his nightmares."

"Is there even a way to prevent this?" I asked, and got a nod from Yoohyeon which served as hope for me.

"There is actually, and it's easy."

"And that is?" Jimin asked.

Yoohyeon grinned, and looked at Gahyeon. "It's the thing I gave to Gahyeon... it's a dreamcatcher."
