Me and Luke got one of the most boring events in history, literally.
Ms Jackson walked back to the board.
"You will have four weeks to complete the assignment. You will have one hour per week in class. But the rest of the assignment you will have to finish after school. She smiled warmly and looked at the class before sitting down in her chair.
"You are welcome to begin. Textbooks are in the back and the library are open if you wish to look up something."Luke raised from his chair and again to walk away from me.
"Where are you going?" I asked in annoyance and stood up from my chair, pushing it backwards.
"To the library, are you coming or what?"
I walked to Me Jackson to ask for permission and she nod at my question.
I had to run when I got out of the classroom to catch up to Luke.
I might remember things in class but remember locations aren't really my thing.
------The library was bigger than I remembered. It's thick wooden doors was heavy to push open. There was empty in all the corridor due to classes and I wasn't chocked to see the library empty as well. Not even a librarian? Well the school must trust their students not to destroy anything.
Luke walked in first for followed by me. It was jammed packed with books of all genres. Classics, si-fi and fatally filled the shelves and it was like heaven for me."We can sit on the couch in the far left corner." I nodded in response, not sure if he acknowledged it.
The couch was bright red in color and stretch out to two walls making it extra long. A small wooden table was placed in front of the couch and bookshelves shield the view of the rest of the library, making it more of a hideout.
I sat down inches away from Luke and began unpacking my backpack. I placed the laptop on the table and put the land and papers beside it and looked at Luke. He got the hint and picked up a pen and a notebook from his sport bag."So the Cold War, what do we know so far?" I smiled at his question and began rambling facts about the Cold War.
He nod, "I guess you want to write so give me the laptop so I can search the web.", search the web, was he 60?
"Sure but try to avoid Wikipedia for smaller details, will you?" I gave a shy smile and he winked at me.
Why would he wink?
We began the work in silence. He actually worked and didn't just sit beside complaining about things.
The bell rang and we bag an to pack up our stuff."Meet me after school, at the parking lot." Why would I meet him I asked to myself. "So we can continue working and get it over with, I mean." Yes of course I thought to myself, nodding at him.
"Well bye then." We both walked out of the library and before I began walking to the library all of the other students welled out of their respective classroom. And then I heard Luke say, almost yell out, "We got to do that again, right babe. See you later." A few faces looked at us and his other friend from class began to laugh and pat him on the back. Luke looked back at me and gave me another wink before taking off.
Wait, what the hell just happened.
I shrugged it of and walked to my locker before heading to the cafeteria to meet Simon.-----
I took my tray which contained some sort of mash and stew. It sure didn't look eatable but I was grateful for what I got.
I found Simon sitting with two other guys. One was blond with clear blue eyes, God that jawline though. He wore a button up shirt and had glasses similar to mine. The second guy seemed more muscular and wore a simple white t-shirt witch looked really good on him. He flipped his light brown hair and pointed at me. All heads turned my way and Simon gave me a big smile and waved me towards the table."Well I found you at least." I said, sitting down on the bench.
"So how was it." Simon asked with a husky tone, not looking at me.
"Was what?" What the hell was he talking about.
"Doing it with Luke Santari?" His tone became filled with anger and I almost choked on my food at his answer. Doing it with Luke, I didn't do anything.
"Wait, I'm not following. Doing what?"
"The whole school knows that you guys fucked in the library, I really didn't think you would sink that low." He muttered the last few words. I stopped eating, looking at Simon.
"He said that, I swear to god I will kill that thing." I said in a low voice before I grabbed my blond hair to release some stress. "I would never, that little fucker I will kill him."
Simon relaxed and let out a sign. The two other guys was staring at us, trying to hold back a laugh. I shoot them a look and they immediately acted like nothing and started eating their food.
"Oh, okay. I'm sorry I yelled at you." Simon looked really embarrassed.
"Well you could just have asked me before, right."
"But I thought...um I thought....eh nothing. I'm sorry alright?" Simon studded and meet my eyes.
"You are forgiven, but why would he even say that?"
Simon let out a sign and gave me his meet guess, "You are the hot new chick and he is kind of at fuck boy." They thought I was hot. Me? An average human being, I wasn't something special.
"He is?" I asked in a harsh tone. "I didn't mean it like that."
Simon nodded.
I raised from the table taking my tray, "I will just go talk to him myself." I said before walking off.
Simon was hon his way to stop me but didn't have the time.
When I was out of the cafeteria I walked over to the staircase where I found Luke sitting on the step highest up.
"Hello babe." He just told the school we hooked up and he said hello?
"Why in heaven would you tell the entire school we hooked up in the library?" I asked in a angry tone, and I was angry for sure.
He gave me a smirk and walked down the stair before he spoke, "Well isn't that what happened, babe? You practically begged me to take you."
He walked on very this ice and I just wanted to punch the smile off his handsome face. "No I didn't. We didn't do anything in the library beside studying and you know that."
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't."
"But it didn't happen so stop telling everyone it did."
"But you wish it happen don't you." He moved closer to me and pushed me against the wall. "I know you do." He bent down to kiss me but stopped just an inch away from my lips.
I just realized I was shaking, "No I don't." Wow I didn't even convinced myself.
His lips touched my ear nib as he whispered, "just keep telling yourself that see you after school."
Then he just left me. My breathe had become uneven and I looked around the hallway to make sure nobody's there. I only have one class left before I would have to meet him again. And just say I wasn't looking forward to it.
