New Me

Chapter 6

                          Tyler's P.O.V
      As Cason tells his friends about my encounter with that kid in english I watch D, who is staring at Casons best friend Rylee. We talk and laugh and eventually D snaps out of whatever it was she was daydreaming about. She still has a dreamy look in her eyes 4 classes later when were walking to the parking lot.
       "So D...." I say casually. "Do you, uh, have any crushes or anything I need to know about?" I say calmly.
      " wha what? Pffft NO!" she says nervously.
        "Oh whatEVER you were so making eyes at Rylee at lunch today!" I exlaim.
      "Oh, him... Nah... Oh God.... He issss dreamy Tyler!" She admits.
           I laugh out loud and smack her on the arm, climbing into my car still chuckling I roll my window down and say.. "So you wanna stay the night or something?" I ask.
       "Sure" she laughs "I'll follow you home."
        I smile and start the car, keeping the window open and driving out of the parking lot and covering the 5 minute drive in no time. When I unlock the gate I smile at the familiar sight of D's mustang pulling up behind me. We hop out and run unside.
       "Mom!" I yell. "Is it alright if my friend Deminia stsys the night?"
       "Yes hun just make sure you get up in the morning for school."
       I smile "we will mom!" I shout back happily "thanks"
       I barely hear my mom's faint goodbye as Demenia and I rush up the stairs to my room.
       "Youre mom seems nice." D stated bluntley.
      "She is." I smiled.
       "What are you smiling at" D asked with a laugh.
         Instead of answering I thought of all the things I had to smile for. My life was back, and although I didn't have everything I had everything I wanted and needed. I had a loving mom and step dad, amazing friends, and a great school.. What more could I ask for...heck I even had an expensive car and lived in a mansion on the beach... I seriously had every reason to smile and more.
