Chapter 3----
"Tonight we go to the moon pool!" Said
Dawnleaf as she sorted herbs,
"I wonder what starclan will say to me?" Petalpaw asked curiously.
She had never really received any important dreams at the moon pool, only once and that was her first time there, she was visited by beautiful she cat, named Cloudleaf, the former medicine cat, before Dawnleaf.
They patted up to the opening of the huge cave where the moonpool lay, shimmering in the darkness. Blackfoot, Willowfern, and Bluestone, were all there, they were the medicine cats from the other clans.
"So, how's the prey running in thunder clan?" Asked Blackfoot seriously,
"fine" replied Dawnleaf blankly.
She entered the dark room where the moonpool lay, in the darkness, and started lapping up some of the great blue water.
The cave was spinning. Her stomach was tumbling, and she heard a low screeching sound. Then a gray tom-cat appeared in front of her,
"Young one, you're special, starclan choose you for a reason, you're the next medicine cat", Petalpaw ran toward him, her paws outstretched, as he disappeared,
"Wait! No....please....don't leave me", she cried as she woke up beside the moonpool, her paws shaking.
She looked up and expected to see the other medicine cats, but she didn't, all she saw were beautiful starry cat standing around her.
One of them, a dark gray tomcat bent down beside her and hissed,
"The last petal will fall, and the forest will blossom!" The hissing continued, almost knocking her off her paws.
She turned and looked deeply into his eyes as he faded into the thin air surrounding the moonpools surface
She jolted and found herself lying beside the moonpool, she was shocked! Her first prophecy from starclan.....and she was only an apprentice....
