The feeling of Mac's chilled fingertips gently running against the back of my satin pajama top is what woke me the next morning
I laid in the same position that I was in moments prior for a few seconds, not daring to move
I wanted to see what Mac would do thinking that I was sleeping
He continued rubbing my back smoothly for a little while, then did something that surprised me. He leaned down and kissed my exposed shoulder lightly but with passion then proceded to get up and begin to leave my lavender painted room
I then decided it was time to move. Rolling my body over using the force of my shoulder combined with my body weight, I land on my back in my large, vacant bed. Hearing the door swing open, I open my eyes to see Mac back in my room. He must of heard me moving around. I could have sworn he was farther from the door. I hid my face using my forearms knowing I look absolutely revolting
I know because it's happened before. Not the whole 'My boyfriend cheating on me' part. Oh no no no lucky for me that's a first. I'm talking about my post break up face just in general.
When my first boyfriend Graham had broken up with me back in Freshman year, I cried my eyes out so hard the next morning I woke with the most painful headache in the world and looking like a Raccoon. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I went into the mirror of my bathroom and saw a Raccoon like version of myself staring back at me. Then I began to sob some more because who wouldn't be terrified seeing that first thing in the morning. My mom and Frankie were so worried about me. I didn't talk to anyone for a few days and didn't come out of my room for a week.
Luckily I have gotten immensely better at dealing with break ups but that doesn't make them easier to handle. Especially when your still in love with the person. In this case, Ricky
"Heyyyyyy your up" he chirps with a big smile slipping back into my room "How are you feeling ? Does your head hurt ? I can bring you some medicine if you want .... or coffee I know you like coffee!" He rambles nervously. Mac and I have been friends for a while and he's never seen me like this before. Broken.
I don't even wanna talk right now. I woke up literally 5 seconds ago. I grumble grabbing any spare pillow my wandering hand could find and shove it over my face
I feel a dip in my bed near my legs, as if someone just sat down
"Arianaaaaaaa" he coos rubbing my legs from on top of the comforter
I start to feel a tug at the pillow currently on my face
"Noooooo" I whine quietly struggling to keep it on my face. He's successful at taking the pillow away, causing me to sit up in the bed
"Mac, are you kidding me! Seriously quit!" I respond in my bitchy, annoyed voice. I cover my whole face with my two tiny hands. I'm surprised these little things cover it all "I look ugly"
"Ariana what are you talking about? You always look beautiful. Inside and out" he reveals placing my head in between his hands and giving me a soft, simple yet smooth kiss on the top of my head. Just like Ricky used to do. "Come onnnnn, show me that gorgeous face! Pleaseeeee" he begs with his lip all pursed out. He gently pulls on my wrists to try to get me to remove my hands
Tired, a little hunched over, and unable to fight anymore, I give in, releasing my hands
"Oh my goddddd ewww! Put it awayyyy! I can't look at it any longer!" Mac exclaims trying to keep a straight face but ultimately laughing at the end
