My Little Sister

(Serenity POV)

*Betcha didn't see that coming!!*

   I was sitting on my bed waiting for Violet to call me at her lunch time. She normally does so it wouldn't be a surprise. My phone went off three hours early, I looked at the Caller ID and surely enough, it was my lovely little sister. I quickly answered it just to see why she was calling me so early.

     "Hello?"

      "Rei?" She was so nervous when she spoke.

       "VY? What's wrong?" and that's when it all started. That was the day he told me that she would have to call me back. I knew that he was going to be hard to get rid of.

       The years went on an I've met him a few times. He seemed really sweet, but as always I told Violet not to get too attached, and she didn't. She was more Pissed off when he cheated, I could have sworn she would have killed him that day, but we soon found out why she was having bad mood swings.

      We've been in Texas for two months after her break up and I noticed Violet had picked up on a peculiar diet. She was eating, pickles, chocolate, and hot cheetos all at the same time, while downing a TON of apple juice. Next thing you know Violet was drinking orange juice, and that's when I knew something was up, Vy HATES orange juice! The final straw was when I walked into the kitchen one day after work and he was sitting there eating string cheese, pickles, and Oreos. I sat sown on the floor next to her and she offered me so Oreos, which I happily accepted.

      "Okay what's going on with you? You're eating a lot, you lounge around in sweats and band tees, you drank orange juice and you sleep a lot. What's up with you?" She had a pained look on her face, she looked scarred, and I didn't like it, Violet was never scared, so what's going on with her now? She signed and put down her food on a towel she had layed out.

      "Rei, I haven't had my period in two months." when she said those words, I could feel my heart break, she's like my baby sister, she couldn't be going through this right now!!

     "So you think you're-" She cut me off quickly.

     "no, I KNOW I am, I went to the doctor, and they did the usual pee-in-the-cup test, and, that's how I found out.." She looked so scared, my baby sister looked scared... I know I look and seem like a complete hard ass bitch, but I have a soft spot for this little girl, ever since she was in Pre-K I vowed to protect her and comfort her and be there for her, I'm her only friend, and now I feel like I failed her.

        "Does mom and dad know?" She shook her head she looked down, I immediately pulled her into a hug.

        "We'll tell them together okay?" She nodded as some tears fell down her face, she was scared, could you blame her? She barely got started in life and now she had to stop everything she wanted to do because she was about to have a baby.

     "What are you going to name it?" She wiped her eyes and looked up and smiled at me.

     "Well, if it's a boy, then his mane will be Micheal Robert, and if it's a girl then either Graciela Margaret, or Serenity Jane." she looked up at me and I smiled, just knowing she would name her kid after me lets me know that she loves me as much as I love her.

   I remember sitting on the couch with her, she was bouncing in her seat and her parents were on their way home.

  "What if they hate me? What if they kicked me out." Her voice cracked while she spoke, she was nervous, but she knows her parents would never do such a thing like that.

  "Vy, your parents love you, they would never do anything like that!" She started to calm down and breathe, then her parents walked in.

  "Ariel honey what's wrong?" her dad walked in and hugged her.

  "um mommy, daddy, I uh have some thing to tell you." She was nervous and even they could tell by the way she called them mommy and daddy.

  "Honey what is it?" Violet was starting to shake, but I quickly grabbed her hand to let her know I was there. She looked up at me and smiled why she took a deep breath.

  "guys, uh, I'm.......pregnant...." she let out the breath that she was holding in. Her dad got up and walked over to her, I stood up quickly grabbed her hand ready to defend her, he put his hand up to let me know he wasn't going to hurt her, but I didn't trust that. He stepped in front of her and pulled her into a hug.

  "I'm so sorry you have to be going through this baby girl, I promise honey, I will always be by your side, I will never leave you." Her mom soon came over and hugged them both, then they stretched their arms out for me to join, normally I don't hug people, but I'll make an exception just this once.

   I was there when she was born, and I was there for all her birthdays, I was there for all her dance recitals, and I was there through every doctor, dentist, and eye exams. I was even there when she lost her first tooth, Gracie was like my own kid, and the day he came back, I knew it was for the best, but I also knew that if he hurt them I was going to kill them. I sat there with My boyfriend Andy (yes Andy Biersack) and he listened as I told him the events of yesterday.

  "So wait he just bounced into the shop got a tattoo, hung out with them for a day and now his staying the night?" I looked up into his piercing blue eyes and watched as some of his black hair fell into his face.

   "Yeah, pretty much."I looked at the angry expression on Andy's face and honestly it scared me, he eyebrows were furrowed together making his piercing blue eyes to seem darker. and his naturally thin face was just too stunning, God, I love this boy.

   "So what are we gonna do to get rid of him?" his question scared me, but I already know the answer to that.

   "Nothing."

   "What? What do you mean nothing? We can't let her get hurt by him again!" He was furious, his blue eyes were stifling his anger, if they weren't blue, they would have been red.

   "Baby, calm down, I've already talked to her, she already is sketchy about him staying but for Gracie's sake she has to keep him around." I placed my hand on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.

    "Okay, fine, but if her hurts either one of those girls, his head is going to be hanging right there on a mantle." He picked his hand up and pointed his slim finger towards the wall above the fire place. I quickly imagined Monte's head hanging there as Andy and I sat there with Wine glasses, like an old hunters movie. I smirked and shook my head from my thoughts.

     "It's okay babe, Violets a strong girl and there if he even THINKS about hurting Gracie, He has A LOT of people to go through!!" He smiled and pulled me in for a deep kiss, I smiled and cupped his face with my hands.

    The next day I woke up with Andy's arms around my waist. I slowly pulled myself out of bed and turned the coffee maker on as I went to go take a shower. Violet already tested me and told me that her and Monte were taking Gracie to school, but for some reason, I felt like today was going to be a long, eventful day...
