Alex and her mother sit at the table eating breakfast quietly, it has been a few days since the world cup and my mother has been acting odd ever since. She has a messy cut on the side of her forehead, a split lip and many more small cuts and bruises over her body, they should be fully healed by tonight with the ointment i made for her. Call me what you want but i am a great Potions maker, Charm caster and healer, all important things to know if you want to pulling pranks.
"Alex, I have something to tell you." Amy says calmly
Alex looks at her mother with a questioning face.
"Um ..... This year your father will be going to Hogwarts with 20 of his best students, he has asked me to let you know you will be going with them." She explains
"Why?" Alex asks suspiciously
"I'm not suppose to say anything, but this year the tri-wizard tournament is being held there, he wants you there so he can make sure you stay out of trouble and ... promise me you wont enter the tournament." She pleads.
"..why not?" Alex asks.
"Oh! Look at the time! We better get going then." Amy changes the subject, making Alex worried about going to Hogwarts this year.
Alex grabs her hand bag with an extension charm on it and uses flu powder with her mother to the docks on the coast of Western Australia with her mother for Alex to board the ship to Durmstrang, Alex is glad she wont be spending the year there.

(First person POV from here on ~ Alex)
Upon arriving the docks i see the 'abandon fish factory' that the wizards and witches go into to board ships.
To get in we walk at a fast pace at the wall under the third lamp on the right hand side of the large musky building.
"Alright then, lets get you boarded." Her rushed tone makes my heart ache a little.
I say nothing and just follow her to the ship that will take me to Durmstrang and away from my mother.
Walking past my peers and their families to the ship the light catches my glossy hair making it seem like its on fire, my eyes glow a deep green and my milky skin clean and clear of any flaw as i turn to my mother to say goodbye to her, but we say nothing just stand there looking at each other.
I quickly bring my mother into a bone crushing hug and she returned it. She starts to shake a little in my arms indicating that she is crying, i release my hold on her and she hesitantly lets go as well and kisses my forehead.
" When do i get to see you next?" I ask in Spanish.
"After the school year, i don't think i can make it to the tournament and there is a special event during Christmas at Hogwarts." She whispers.
