I woke up in the nurses office with a pounding headache
"About time you woke up."
I looked to my left and see Cedric sitting upright in his bed playing with some kind of cube puzzle in his lap.
"How long was I out?"
"About two days, they say that it was because you exerted yourself ... how did you save us anyway?" He asked quietly while looking at me with confusion.
"Well, I have a tallent when it comes to experimental magic. Before the third task I felt ... a wave of dred wash over every nerve in my body. I knew something bad was going to happen during the task, but i didnt have a clue on what was going to happen. So, out paranoia, I spent the last week endlessly obsessing over a way to create temporary invincibility. To protect us."
A moment of silence filled the air as he looked at me with a quizzical expression.
"How?" He asks, drawing his eyebrows together.
"I decided to create a potion. It's purpose was absorb harmful spells, leaving the drinker unharmed for a 48 hours. Though, I suppose it wasn't strong enough seeing as we both still died, even if it was temporary. I thought I failed." My tiered voice softens at the end.
"Plus 'The Author' just thought I ended up so OP she would spare your life by having me save you. After all what are fanfics for?" I throw a wink at the readers.
He raised an eyebrow at this.
There was another silent moment as he took in the information.
Disregarding the last part of my explanation 'The Author' knew was a sad attempt to get the readers to laugh, he finally spoke.
"Never the less you saved me. As well as yourself and Harry. You truly are an incredible witch, Alex." Gratitude and admiration coating his every word.
"Thanks, Cedric."
He nodded his head slightly as I reach for the water beside me. A large smirk soon stretches across his face as I take a large mouth full of the cool liquid ... why is he smirking?
"So ... you and Weasley huh?"
The moment those words left his lips, I became a human fountain.
Coughing fits racked my body as I attempt to recover for the violent action. My nose stinging as the water exploded from my nostrils like a geyser. The whole time Cedric was laughing uncontrollably, gasping for his own air while clutching his abdomen.
"Oh Merlin! T-that was-" He couldn't finish his remark since I though my pillow at his face with force while still recovering from my coughing fits and my skin burning with embarresment.
"AH Miss Karkaroff! Your awake!"
kill me now...

The moment the nurse was finished helping me clean up, a swarm of redheads ran into the room heading straight for me. Cedric still giggling at my little display, tries to calm down but seeing the red heads didn't help. My face grew hotter with increasing embarrassment.
"ALEX!" They all called out, Including the ravenette and brunette.
"Hey gu-" I was brought into a bone crushing hug, courtesy of Fred. Cedric couldn't keep his stupid smirk of his stupid face the whole time. Fred nuzzles my neck slightly taking a deep breath before he reluctantly peeled himself off of me so everyone else could hug me.
