Chapter 7 ~ The Perfect Ending...

Temari's cheeks glow red. Neji looks at Temari waiting for an answer.

"I... Well, yes..." Temari says like she's unsure, but then she smiles, looking flattered. Neji takes out his hand and Temari places hers on his. She then turns round to me and Ino.

"See ya!" She says with a smile. We smile back at her as she and Neji wander off amongst the crowd.

"Well that was unexpected!" Ino says. I agree. So I am guessing Neji has a crush on Temari...

"Hey, pig! You want a punch?" We turn round to see Sakura in a pink dress and Karin next to her in a silver one. Sakura is holding a glass of cherry red punch which is filled with lime and ice cubes. Ino looks at Sakura and then at her glass of punch.

"Oh, I didn't want to offer you a drink!" A smirk spreads across Sakura's mean face. Karin lets out an idiotic laugh.

"She means a punch in the face, pig!" Karin says whilst laughing. Ino folds her arms, annoyed.

"I know what she means, I am not thick!" Ino snaps. But before they could carry on shouting insults at each other, Sai steps out in front of Ino, his back to Sakura and Karin.

"I think it's time we dance." Sai gives Ino a closed eye smile and holds out his hand. Ino takes it and then she turns round to say, "Oh, and just out of interest... who are your dance partners?" Ino asks. But Sakura and Karin have already wandered off.

Ino raises her eyebrows. "Oh, walk off then! I bet you they don't even have a partner, they just don't want to admit it! Anyways... see ya Hinata, see ya Shikamaru!" Ino says as Sai takes her away.

There's a short pause. Then Shikamaru says, "Well I guess we might as well... I mean, dancing's never been my thing, and I know it's gonna be a drag..."

"It's not gonna be a drag, come on, you'll enjoy it!" I feel my cheeks blush slightly as I take his hand.

It's been about over an hour and I am exhausted! Me and Shikamaru go sit down. The noise of laughter and the people talking seemed to have gotten louder. I see that there's new drinks on the table and notice that nearly everyone is holding a glass of the new drink. It must taste really nice then. I take one.

"I am so thirsty..."

"No, Hinata, I think that's-" and gulp the whole thing down. Then suddenly, I start choking. My throat burns and a foul taste fills my mouth.

"What *cough* is *cough* this *cough* drink...?!" I say whilst coughing like mad. Then Shikamaru hands me a glass of water which I quickly drink. The foul taste still remains in my mouth.

"I was going to tell you that it's wine." Shikamaru says to me.

"Oh..." I say, feeling embarrassed.

I hear a squeaking noise of a microphone echo in the hall. Then I see Guy Sensei walking weirdly up onto the stage.

"H-happy V-Valentine's day my YOUTHFUL friends! I just wanted to make an announcement..." Guy Sensei says with a slurred voice. Yep. He's definitely drunk...

"Roses are red, violets are blue, no one loves Lee as much as I DO!" Guy Sensei lands onto his knees and starts crawling around like a child.

"GUY SENSEI!!!!" Lee runs up onto the stage and jumps on Guy Sensei's back.

"I LOVE YOU GUY SENSEI!" Lee cries.

Everyone laughs their heads off and start cheering. Then Tsunade Sensei rushes onto the stage her cheeks pink. She takes the microphone off Guy Sensei.
