"The state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them."
Are you sure reality must be called with this word? Are you sure you're defining reality according to your perception of it?
We often perceive things differently, our realities can be so different.
We take our realities for granted but how do we know what is truly real? Can't it be just a common perception? Maybe our brains just put up with what we think it's real. What if we just created our reality and it's all fake? What if we're just looking at things in a wrong way? What if we have a wrong perception of things?
We perceive reality through standard lens like this is a computer, this is a pen ,a book but what if they weren't supposed to be called in that way? What if they hadn't these names? Would still they exit in this way? Probably not or, at least, the idea of them. So...is it the same for everything around us?
Couldn't reality be just something we created and it's so real?
We created the concept of wrong or right, bad or good, concepts, quality etc.
The way they could change their meanings makes us understand that reality is completely relative. If it's relative, why do think it's the universal truth? What if we changed everything, every meaning, every function....what could happen? Would we still call it reality? Maybe we wouldn't at the beginning but, after years...who knows? Probably yes and we would laugh at what our ancestors defined reality. So why do we rely on a thing that is so aleatory, that changes every moment of our lives?
