Arthur stormed into the physician's chambers to Gaius treating a patient, angrily glaring at the Prince.
"What on Earth are you doing, Sire? It's well past dusk!"
"It doesn't matter, but where is Merlin?"
"I... sent him to gather some herbs for me, m'lord."
"At this time of night?"
"It's vital for my patient, and he needs to be treated immediately, so could you please move out of my way?"
"You didn't send M-" the patient is cut short by Gaius quickly giving him a potion.
"Seems your patient says different, Gaius. Now, where is he?"
"Okay, he's at the tavern, m'lord!"
"Dear lord, Gaius, stop with the tavern!" a voice silently whispers. Arthur rushes straight to the direction of the sound, Merlin's room. He opens the door to Merlin on his bed, spell book in hands and mid-spell.
"Arthur!"
"Merlin, you need to learn to keep quiet! This always happens whilst we go hunting! Now come on, I need your help!"
"Fine, you prat!"
"Hey, I'll throw you in the stocks!"
"What the hell is going on?" Gaius interrupts, obviously confused that Arthur saw Merlin doing magic.
"I need this idiot to clean my room, I think we've got more rats. And Merlin, no stew!"
"Yes, dollophead!" Merlin looked over at Gaius, grinning.
"He's a Wilderron, as blind as a bat!"
"I can see that! Should we bring it up?"
"We don't want to annoy Princess Arthur, do we?"
"I guess not, but something's definitely wrong with him if he can't see magic!"
"Come on! Just..."
"MERLIN!"
"You best get going..."
"Yeah, back to serving the Royal Oblivious Arthur!" He laughed as he ran down the stairs to join the impatient clotpole.
