I awoke an hour later, yawning and doing a little stretch I looked over to the other side of my bed. ''David?'' I said, looking around and seeing nothing but an empty room. I quickly stood and walked over to the window moving the curtain to see the driveway. His car is gone. Where the hell could he be? I sighed then walked into my bathroom. I turned on the light and flinched a bit at the brightness. I went over to the mirror to check my hair and gasped. It was all over the place! No wonder David left! I quickly grabbed a brush and roughly brushed through to tame the wild beast. My hair was a pretty wavy but if I don’t take care of it, it looks like a darn tsunami. My hair is currently a boring sky blue, but I’m probably going to dye it again soon. If there is one thing you outta know about me is that I get bored of my hair color way too often.
I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of skinny jeans and one of David’s t-shirts. I slipped on some white flats and scurried down the stairs.
''Hey- Whoa someone’s pissed this morning!'' Daymon said as I came down the stairs, he was standing by the stove making pancakes and bacon. I shot a death glare his way. He chuckled. ''You still mad about this morning?" Nick asked coming around the counter with an apple, he was wearing a sweatshirt and sweat pants; probably had just come back from a run, despite werewolves just naturally being in shape he still is very active. Brian who was sitting on the couch with a book started blushing and couldn’t help but look up at me. I laughed then sighed. '' Relax Bri, I honestly could care less.” I said reassuringly. I saw Brian relax into a slump and continue to read his book. “Did anyone see David leave this morning?'' I asked biting my lip curious to if he mentioned to them where he had taken off to.
They all shook their heads in union.” I’ve been up since your freak out, and I haven’t seen anyone leave.” Brian said. “You know David, Liz he is always taking off without a word, it’s just the way he is. He’ll be back by lunch time, guarantee it!” Nick said trying to cheer me up. “Here have some pancakes, love.” Daymon said serving me a plate and putting it in front of me. I smiled and nodded my head then began to chow down. These guys have always been there for me no matter what the situation was, they were all like brothers to me. Of course not David, well not at first anyway. I gave a little sigh. I haven’t been dating him for long, I mean we had a few flirty moments here and there, but we finally made it official a month ago after he ended it with his ex-Shaylee. I honestly care deeply about him, but lately he’s been very distant and I don’t know why.
By the time lunch came around I was still worried as hell, pacing back and forth in the living room. He taking off without saying where he was going is usual for him, but at least by noon he would shoot me a text saying where he is and right now it’s a quarter to 4. I gripped my phone in my hand and then checked my texts repeatedly. Brian who hadn’t moved from the couch had finally looked up at me with a serious look. “Something’s wrong... You can feel it?” He said looking sternly at me. I nodded as I tried to control my breathing. He put his book aside and stood now holding me to his chest. I hugged back and held back a cry.
I usually am very intuitive on things and I could sense something bad was going to happen, but I couldn’t tell what. “It will be okay, Nick and Daymon will come home any moment and we’ll get this whole thing sorted out. Okay? Okay.” He hugged me tighter and I nodded and pulled away. I took a look at him, my how he had not changed at all, and still the same shaggy black hair and greenest of eyes he looked a lot like his brother Evan. I mean all the werewolves don’t really age, at least unless they want to. He is the total opposite of Evan though; Brian is a shy and awkward book worm who is always there for me the most out of all the boys.
