-Charlie's POV-

I watched as Hunter shuffled through the dresser drawers, pulling out his clothes in handfuls and throwing them into his opened duffel bag that laid on our bed. "You don't have to do this, Hunter," I murmured under my breath. My cheeks were wet from crying.

"Yes I do," He retorted, continuing to pack his things, "I can't stay here knowing you don't care about me anymore."

I peeled myself off of the wall I was leaning and stopped him mid-trip to the dresser, "Since when have I stopped caring about you?"

"Since you started cheating on me!" He yelled, pushing me to the side and walking up to the dresser.

"I didn't cheat on you!" I shouted at him, though his back was facing me and he most likely wasn't listening, "Nothing happened between Anthony and me that meant anything!"

"What about that little note he left you that you're always looking at?" He asked, slightly glancing over his shoulder, "Telling you you're perfect." He turned towards me, "Is that why you don't care about me anymore? Because you've got someone else who can tell you you're perfect?"

"I haven't stopped caring about you!"

"Just because I don't tell you that you're perfect, Charlie, doesn't mean that I don't think that."

"Well it's kind of hard to believe that when I give you my everything and in return all I get are your drunken fits of rage and false accusations of cheating on someone when I'm not," I retorted. He flushed of all color. "Why do you think I've stayed this long, Hunter? Because I want to live in a shit hole and have a drunk boyfriend who beats me almost every? No! It's because I love and care about you!" He was speechless. "And I'm not going to lie," I continued, "It was nice hanging out with someone who doesn't beat me. And tells me that I'm perfect. But I didn't mean those things that I said in the car, okay? I wasn't thinking. Like I told you."

"I'm not going to do this again," He remarked as he spun back around, scooping up the remaining clothes in the drawer and dropping them in his bag. "We're breaking up, and there's nothing that either of us can do to stop it."

"It's a simple as you putting back all your clothes and accepting the fact that just because I hang out with another man doesn't mean that I'm in love with him!" I stated, though I was partly lying. I did love Anthony, but I didn't want to lose Hunter because of it.

He shook his head and repeated, this time a little bit more sternly, "We're breaking up, and there's nothing that either of us can do to stop it."

I crossed my arms over my chest as he zipped his bag up, "Where are you going to go?" I asked him as he slung it over his shoulder and walked out.

I followed him into the front room to hear his vague answer of, "Somewhere."

"Who's going to be there for you?" I added.

"Myself," He replied, taking a few things out of the refrigerator.

"When will I see you again?" I inquired softly.

"Hopefully never," He snapped at me, shoving a few cans of beer into his bag. I frowned. He looked up at me, "So I guess this is goodbye, Charlie."

"Please stay, Hunter," I begged.

He shook his head no and walked over to me, kissing me on the cheek and slowly pulling away. "I wish things didn't have to be like this," He murmured as he turned away from me and walked out the door.

"They don't have to be," I said to myself as I fell to my knees and started to sob. I never thought it would come to this. Ever.

-Anthony's POV-

I was picking up some fast food for lunch with Ian for a Lunchtime with Smosh. "So, how did things go down between you and that party girl?"

I heaved a sigh as I paid the person at the window, "Well, since she was taken away abruptly by her dick of a boyfriend, I haven't talked to her. It's been a couple of days - she hasn't returned any of my calls or responded to any of my text messages."

"Maybe you should go visit her. You dropped her off at her place, right? So shouldn't you know her address?" He asked as I took the greasy take-out bag from the drive-through person and handed it to Ian, who immediately opened the bag and pulled out a fry.

"That's not the problem. It's...it's her boyfriend. He made it pretty clear that he didn't want me seeing her. And I can't risk him being there."

"What have you got to lose?" Ian questioned.

"Umm...my life," I answered. Ian laughed, though I thought I was being quite serious, "You should've seen this guy, Ian. He's got like...muscles. I mean big muscles. I'd have no chance against him if we got into a fight."

"You really like this girl, right?"

"Yeah..."

"Then you've got to do whatever it takes, man," Ian advised me. I glanced over at him, "I mean, how do you think I got together with Melanie? We wouldn't have started dating if I hadn't walked up to her that day and introduced myself."

I clenched my jaw, he did make a good point. "Yeah, but..."

"No buts!" He exclaimed, "Just go and do it! Or you'll regret it forever."

"Since when have you become the expert on dating?" I teased. He glared at me and I broke down into a fit of laughter.

I made my way up to her apartment, passing a few people, who in some cases offered me drugs. I kindly declined and kept walking. I approached her door and knocked, "Hey, Charlie! It's me, Anthony. Are you there?"

I heard some movement before the door swung open. I was a little astonished to see how...bad...Charlie looked - mascara streaked her cheeks, her hair was pulled up into a very messy bun, and she wore baggy sweatpants and a tight tank top. In her hand was a crumpled-up tissue.

"What are...what are you doing here, Anthony?" She questioned as she unsuccessfully tried to make herself presentable.

"I...I was wondering if you were okay," I answered, "You hadn't been replying to my calls and text messages. What happened?"

She frowned, "Why don't you come in?" She suggested, stepping to the side and inviting me in. I nodded my head as I stepped through the threshold.
