Future chief

Johnny's pov.
I watched the police as they were looking around the beach, looking for some clues. My friends were also here, i told them what happened and now they were comforting me. "Sir, are you sure that it was a creature that took her? She may have tripped and the waves took her, a storm also happened last night." The police asked. "I am sure! I saw a dark figure that just took her away!" I yelled. "Calm down ,sir, we will do everything in our power to find her. If what you said is true, then we will make a research about it." The police said as another agent ran towards us. "Sir, you might wanna see this" he said and took us to the edge of the water. My eyes widened, there was a large black handprint on the bottom of the water. "....Interesting..." the agent trailed off as he stared at it.

Rain's pov.
We stared at eachother until the figure chuckled. I looked at him confused. "What?" I said. "Nothing, it's just that you're falling everywhere" he motions to the outside where it was still raining. I quickly knew what he meant and we both end up laughing. The butler came back with our meals.
I opened my eyes, thinking about that dream. Who was that? His voice sounded familiar.... I got out from my bed and walked out the hut. A breeze blew gently in my face. "Ah, hello Flower. How are you feeling?" My uncle asked as i gave him a small smile. "I'm feeling better, uncle. What's going on?" My uncle smiled. "Well i was thinking that i should teach you how to become a chief." "A chief?" He put his hand on my shoulder. "I want you to look after this village when my time has come" "Oh, allright uncle." My mom came "Well shall we?" She asked excited. "We shall" My uncle answered as ahe took my hand.

[Uncle]: Raina, make waaaaay, make waaaay~
Raina, it's time you knew~
The village of Squaxin is
AAAll you neeeed~

The dancers are practising~
They dance to an ancient song~
(Who needs a new song? This old one's all we need)

This tradition is our mission~
And Raina, there's so much to do
(Make way!)
Don't trip on the taro root~
That's all you need~

We share everything we make~
(We make)
We joke and we weave our baskets~
(Aha!)
The fishermen come back from the sea~

As they were singing, i tried to sneak away to the sea.

[Rain]: I wanna seeeeee~

But uncle took me by my arm.

[Uncle]: Don't walk away~
Raina, stay on the ground now~
Our people will need a chief
And there you aaaare~

[Uncle and mom]: There comes a daaaaay~
When you're gonna look around~
And realize happiness is
Where you aaaare~

[Uncle]: Consider the coconut~
(The what?)
Consider its tree~
We use each part of the coconut
That's all we need~

[Mom]: We make our nets from the fibers~
(We make our nets from the fibers)
The water is sweet inside~
(The water is sweet inside)
We use the leaves to build fires~
(We use the leaves to build fires)
We cook up the meat inside~
(We cook up the meat inside)

[Uncle]: Consider the coconuts~
(Consider the coconuts)
The trunks and the leaves~
(Ha!)
The island gives us what we need~

[Rain]: And no one leeeaaves~

[Uncle]: That's right, we stay~
We're safe and we're well provided~
And when we look to the future
There you aaaaare~

You'll be okaaay~
In time you'll learn just as I did~
[Uncle and mom]: You must find happiness right
Where you aaaaare~

I saw a spirit of an old woman dancing in front of the water, she somehow looked familiar, so i sneaked away again and ran to her. She saw me and gestured me to dance with her. I then stood next to her and followed her moves.

[Granny]: I like to dance with the water~
The undertow and the waves~
The water is mischievous~
Ha! I like how it misbehaves~

The village may think I'm crazy~
Or say that I drift too far~
But once you know what you like, well
There you aaaaare~

You are your uncle's niece~
Stubbornness and pride~
Mind what he says but remember
You may hear a voice inside~
And if the voice starts to whisper
To follow the farthest star~
Raina, that voice inside is
Who you aaaaaare~

My uncle did'nt see the woman so he dragged me back, again...

[Villagers]: We make our nets from the fibers~
(We weave our nets from the fibers)
The water is sweet inside~
(And we taste the sweet inside)
We use the leaves to build fires~
(We sing these songs in our choir)
We cook up the meat inside~
(We have mouths to feed inside)

[Uncle]: The village believes in us~
(That's right!)
The village beliiieeeeves~
(Ha!)
The island gives us what we need
And no one leeeaaaves~

[Rain]: So here I'll staaaay~
My home, my people beside me~
And when I think of tomorrow~
There we aaaaare~

I'll lead the waaay~
I'll have my people to guide me~
We'll build our future together~
[Villagers]: Where we are~

[Rain]: 'Cause every path leads you back to~
[Villagers]: Where you are~
[Rain]: You can find happiness right~
[Villagers]: Where you are~
Where you aaaaaaaare~

After the lesson, i decided to go to the sea to clear my mind. I talked to that woman spirit, turned out that she's my granny. She told me a story about the mythical guardian of the sea and the heart, Amadahy. Her heart was lost a long time ago, somehow, our ancestor found it, but never returned it. So the mythical guardian waited for someone to return it, but something turned her evil, she was turning the whole sea of the world into dry, black earth slowly. That figure that knocked me out came back into my mind. Was she the one that brought me here? Or was she trying to kill me? I have the heart, but why did'nt she take it? Lots of questions were flowing in my mind.

Johnny's pov.
I layed down in my bed, but could'nt sleep. I could'nt take her off my mind.. It's impossible, i love her too much to forget... Rain... Just where are you? What would her family think? Maybe... My eyes widened. What if she's there?! I'm sure they found her! I made my decision, i'm going to her island. It's my only chance...

Rain is getting her memories back bit by bit! Will she remember Johnny? How is she going to save the world? How will she stop Amadahy? Stay tuned~!
