A Pharaoh's Bride (yugioh: Atem Love Story)

Chapter 15.

Nefertari could't help but be stunned by how different the throne room looked from the day before to now since it had been done up for the celebration of her's and Atem's unborn child and heir to the throne, that she was still getting used to but she could't take her eye's off the colourfull drapes all around the throne room or the large tables that lined each side of the room and some slaves were still getting thing's ready also there was a large space in the center of the throne room for dancing and music she gave a little wave to Mahad and Isis who had been over seeing thing's and they waved back she could't help but think they made a lovely pair but that's when her smile faded as she started to leave the throne room to get ready for the celebration herself Atem had been busy with meany thing's she understood that also he had been busy with their guests Apa and Kana she did't mind them they were lovely people the one she could't stand was Anzu even after she made it rather clear to everyone that night that the Pharaoh her king and soon to be husband were off limits but that had't stopped her draping herself over him with every chance she got and she kept, asking him to show her other parts of the palace or pretend she had gotten lost so that he would help her she gritted her teeth together knowing she should't let what Anzu was doing get to her but she could't help it like she thought when she first saw her  she was someone who was used to getting her way or what she wanted and what she wanted was Atem she sighed stopping at the gardens and thought about taking a slight breather before she got ready since it had been a while since she had come out here she sat on the small cluster of rocks just in the shade and tried to think about other thing's like the cloak she was making for Atem she had spent most of the morning in the room when he left for the throne room making it she hoped that he would like it when it was ready, also about their child growing inside of her Isis had been keeping an eye on her and did a little check up in the room so she did't have to go all way down to the healing chambers, and she was happy to know the baby was doing very well also even though she was't showing a little other's had noticed when they would see her and say hello she smiled at that but she soon snapped out of her thoughts when she heard some voices the baritone voice was Atem's the other one belonged to Anzu and she really did't want to deal with her so she quickly hid so she would't be seen.

" Pharaoh these gardens of yours are lovely" Anzu said.

"i'm glade you like them Nefertari is very found of them" he said.

"speaking of her..are you happy that someone picked her out for you Pharaoh i mean if it was me i would be a little unsure about all of this" Anzu said walking away from him a little.

"and what do you mean by that?" he asked.

"i mean she's lovely even i could see that but she does standout a lot with her pale skin and her crimson hair and green eye's, also i'v heard a lot about Maidens from some of my fathers slaves their known for making men fall in love with them and it's only a duty to them nothing more after all they are taught about how to please those they marry are they not" Anzu said walking back to him a little.

"watch what you say Anzu" he said.

"i mean no disrespect Pharaoh but would't of you liked to have a choice in who you were to marry maybe someone who come's from the same sort of back ground as you do someone who does't have to be taught, how to rule by your side would't that be something you might want?" she asked moving even closer to him and she did't even allow him to answer what she had asked him.

It took everything she had not to shout or scream instead she kept her hand to her mouth as tears fell from her eye's as it felt like her heart was shattered into the smallest bits because of what happened next she could't bare it anymore and left as fast as she could through the other entrance to the garden and she soon began to run with each step she took she did't care where she went she just had to get away from them but that's all she could see in front of her eye's also hear all the thing's Anzu had said about her, what she said was't true making men fall in love with them and learning how please them..they were taught how to be like a fine young women and taught how to sing and dance but never that, she stopped trying to catch her breath which was hard to do when your pregnant and she gagged a little due to the dryness in her mouth which caused her to be sick while she tried to keep herself up on her feet.

"Nefertari!" a voice said making her look behind her to see Shimon and Aknadin rushing over to her.

"my dear what's the matter?" Shimon said.

"......just having my heart broken that's all.." she manged to sob out.

"what do you mean by that?" Aknadin asked helping her to stand straight and kept arms round her just in case.

"....Anzu she...and he did't..." she could't that part out past her sobs.

"Shimon take her to your room she's in a state and trying and calm her down i'll find out what happened from the pharaoh" he said letting shimon wrap and arm around her and start to lead her away.

Aknadin knew the Pharaoh had been showing Anzu around while her parents rested and he did't care for the women that much after all he had seen the look she had given Nefertari as she sat next to the Pharaoh on what would be her throne and even though she stayed quiet she took in what the Pharaoh was doing, and learning from him he came to the garden and stopped dead in his tracks as the Pharaoh all but pushed Anzu away from him and wipe his mouth just like if he had swallowed something nasty and had to spit it back out again, so this was why Nefertari had been upset and what she meant by having her heartbroken she must of seen Anzu kiss him maybe from where they would't of noticed her and took off before the Pharaoh had pushed her away also he had never seen such an angry look on the Pharaoh's faces and it was frighting to say the least so he cleared his throat before anything else happened and they both looked his way.

"Aknadin.." he said looking at him.

"i saw my Pharaoh but that's a matter to dealt with later right now..Nefertari is the one that need's you right now she's in Shimon's room with a very wonded heart due to this women's actions" he said making it very clear to Anzu that what she had done there would be a prices to pay.

He nodded and took off for Shimon's room and left Aknadin to deal with Anzu he was more angry than he had ever been at this moment and it was hard to push that anger back down, and he became worried by what Aknadin had said about Nefertari having a wounded heart which made him stop in his tracks had she been in the garden at the same time? and if she had been why had't they seen her but what worried him more was if she had seen Anzu kiss him and say those nasty thing's about her as she said them he knew they were't true Shimon had told him all about the maidens he started to walk much faster and tears starting to sting his eye's at how much pain had been caused to someone he loved more than his own life.
