A Pharaoh's Bride (yugioh: Atem Love Story)

Chapter 10.

Nefertari was lost in thought as she brushed Amaunet while Mana feed her some apple's they had taken from the kitchen she had to admit Mana was right getting out of the room for a while was helping her mood, though she still worried about Bakura and Marik and what they would do next which made her stop brushing for a while also she was worried about Atem and just how far he would go to protect his people and her from them and that scared her more than what they tried to do to her, she sighed and started to brush again she glanced at Mana who had a worried look on her face and she manged to give a gentle smile.

"you can't stop worrying can you" Mana said.

"i'm sorry Mana.." she said with a sigh after Mana was trying to help her have a good time.

"it's alright ...even though i said the Pharaoh knows what he's doing it does't mean i'm not worried either after all when Isis told me what nearly happened to you i was scared that i might loos a dear friend" Mana said.

"you hide your worry better than i do Mana and i am really alright" she said.

"i know mostly thanks to the Pharaoh" Mana said with a grin.

"i told you i'm not talking about what went on between me and him" she said trying not to turn pink in the face.

"it's just us girls Nefertari" Mana said her grin growing even bigger.

"Nefertari is right Mana women do not speak about such matters" Isis said making them both jump and look at her standing at the stables door.

"is the meeting over?" Mana asked.

"no it's still going " Isis said.

"then.."Mana said.

"i left to check on Nefertari  after what happened on the Pharaoh's orders and when i got the Pharaoh's room i found that neither of you were there but i quickly learned where you were and so here i am, it was kind of you Mana to try and cheer her up but i'm afraid Nefertari must return to the Pharaoh's room for her own safety" Isis said.

"but he can't lock her up Isis even with me there she looked so sad" Mana said.

"it's alright Mana i'll go and thank you i did enjoy myself and at least i know where the kitchen is now can i leave Amaunet in your hands" Nefertari said.

"of course i'll see you later" Mana said with a wave watching them both leave.

Nefertari followed Isis back through the palace a part of her knew she should of stayed in the room like she said to Atem she would and Mana was only trying to help and she was glade to have a friend like that and also to have someone who loved her and protect her from harm but she just did't want to be locked behind wall's again she had lived her whole life like that and now because of the danger of Bakura and Marik she would be living like that again in till they were dealt with but she was't foolish she knew they were dangerous and she was scared of them who in their right mind would't be after what they tried to do to her, Isis looked back at her with a sad look even she knew that keeping her locked up in the room was't the best way to keep her safe but the Pharaoh was doing what he thought was best at the moment while Bakura and Marik were out there somewhere and she was just glade that Mahad had come back safely with Seto after being sent out with the guards to track them down though they had lost them due to a sandstorm and were forced to come back and the meeting had been about what to do next, but a slight smile did show on her face since she had overheard what her and Mana were talking about or what Nefertari was trying to avoid talking about.

"are you alright Nefertari?" Isis asked stopping and looking back at her.

"ah yes i'm fine why do you ask" she said looking at her.

"i overheard you and Mana...your not in any pain are you since the first time can be uncomfortable" Isis said.

"oh so that's why you said what you did to Mana" Nefertari said.

"yes but i am the palace healer so it's my duty to know if your in some discomfort" Isis said.

"no not really" she said feeling her cheeks heat up.

"that's good to know" Isis said starting to walk again.

"have you ever..." Nefertari started to ask.

"yes i have with Mahad and i can tell by your look that you did not know, we try and keep thing's like that between us and we keep our duty to the Pharaoh and personal moments apart" Isis said.

Nefertari smiled and followed Isis guessing that was all she was going to say on the matter but now that she thought about it when she spotted them around the palace they were always with each other and she did think that they would make a sweet pair little did she know that they already were, it was't long before they reached the Pharaoh's room again and she noticed that the rest of her thing's had been placed in the room while she had been gone she sighed and headed back to where she had been sitting and the scroll still on the table where she had left it.

"how are your lessons going?" Isis asked standing next to her.

"there going well Shimon says i'm learning fast and i wont need them soon once i'v learned all the laws and a few other thing's" she said looking at Isis.

"that's good..would you like me to stay with you in till the Pharaoh returns?" Isis asked.

"i would like that..also i have to ask how did you know where i was?" she asked.

"the same way i knew were in danger my necklace gave me a vision" she said.

"Atem told me they had magic in them" she said.

" and it come's in very handy" Isis said.

"guess so" Nefertari said with a smile.

They sat side by side while she read the scroll's and Isis even helped her to understand some of the thing's she did't understand that well and she was glade that Isis was with her after a while she started to grow tired and wanted to rest and Isis told her that she would stay in till the Pharaoh was here she smiled at her before laying on the bed closing her eye's Isis smiled and sat next to her on the bed, the necklace had given her more than one vision and she knew the Pharaoh would grow even more protective of her in the days to come though some of those days would't be easy and there would be danger at times and even sadness but a love like there's would be even stronger because of it.
