#Zee'sPOV
After realising the brutal truth that Jess didn't require my presence to even be around her, that crushed my soul into a thousand pieces.
Not just because I wanted to be there for her, but also because I thought we'd get along, because we had so many similarities.
Lucas being one, but many more were common.
I shifted to my home in North Carolina when I was 14 years old. My family had to migrate from Maine because my dad was transferred to his new office in NC. He was a computer developer working for Google, and was now promoted to the position of the VP.
My mom is a homemaker, who tries to manage her home, which is always a mess because of me and my brother, Max.
We are this cute, but a little dysfunctional family who needs to have each other's back at all times, otherwise things can fall apart.
Ever since, we shifted here, I have been going to the same school, The Lincoln High School, which was founded in the 1970s by some American Professor, who strived to give quality education to all, with great amenities for school students.
The clubs of our school were completely brimmed with activities.
I participated in athletics and shot put, and was always pumped-up to do my best.
Jess and I used to be on the same team for Relay Running, but we never mingled much. There was this unnecessary tension amongst our team; our team wasn't quite a team.
We all had some differences and nobody put an ample amount of effort to make playing endurable for everyone.
Our athletic team did not include the jolly cheerleaders, they had their seperate club to gossip around and mess with other people's lives.
But, the cheerleaders never messed with the athletes, because they knew Athletes could take them down, any day, and they wouldn't dare wake up the devil.
But, they also knew that the devil could be hurt easily, if it is being hit at the right place.
And the cheerleading squad knew that place so well, as if they had to mug it up for a school test.
Nevertheless, our athletic team did not leave any place for them to hit the hammer.
Our athletic practices were held on weekdays except Wednesdays.
On Wednesdays, I used to catch up with my Ballet routines.I know I am not being modest here, but Ballet was the only thing I knew inside out. I had been learning Ballet since I was 8 years old, and fell in love with the dance-form ever since I danced on 'The Nutcracker'.
But not a little while I ago, I learned that Jess was a ballet dancer as well.
Not that good a dancer, (well that's what I heard) but she could manage pretty well for herself.I must tell you, Lucas has some interesting choices.
Lucas was a player for our school's Varsity Soccer team. And, I reiterate, girls were all over him, also because he played damn well.
He has the perfect height, body and legs that a great footballer ought to have. He can make you swoon with his amazing skills and tackles.
With a quick and slick maneuver, he can slide the ball off his opponent's feet.
He could lure you into the magic land of 'Gentlemanliness & Sexiness' with his enchanting moves.
He has dark brown hair, which glistens when sunlight falls on it, and it's reflection feels better than your existence, I bet you not.
His skin is pale-white-complexioned, with a little dimple on his left cheek. Truly a dessert-like boy.
And, his smile can give you an ocean of butterflies.
And, then I tell you that girls don't fall for his looks, haha sorry.
But, apparently they don't. There's another side to this charming boy, the much more pleasant one, which makes you indifferent to his good looks and charisma.
This side of his personality makes you believe that HE could be the guy you'd marry one day.
And, you wish with all your heart that he falls in love with you.
I wished the same.
That was one of the most awaited wish of mine.
But, with oh so deep regret I'd like to tell you that, the wish did not come true.
