Emmett Bledsoe

First day

Nicole (An:sign language will be in bold)

I stepped out of the car, looking at my mom, who was smiling. "Mom do I have to?" I asked her  "yes, Nicole you do." She signed I shut the door and followed my sister inside. "Chloe is anyone here nice?" I signed to her as we made our way inside. Everyone watching me as I walked in. Oh god I never thought people would stare. Now I'm gonna feel out of place here, even though there's five more hearing people here. "Yes." She signed and smiled as she saw a boy. "I'm gonna go talk to my friend." signed again and walked away leaving me here. Not knowing what to do.

I looked around at everyone. All of them stating at me. I really felt slightly awkward. Standing in front of people who are staring, at me. I heard the bell ring I looked at my schedule and started making my way to class which I actually have no way of going to because I don't know where it is. I looked around for the room, when I bumped into someone. I looked up to see a boy there. He looked so... delicate so nice. But does he like hearing people? "Do you need help finding your way around?" He signed I looked at him and nodded. "I do thank you." I signed back he nodded and grabbed my schedule. I wonder what his name is. "We have some classes together I can show you around to all of them though." He signed making me nod a bit. I followed him as he started to walk. We made our way into a classroom, everyone was in there ready to start learning. I sat down everyone's stare on me. I felt uncomfortable. Why did my mom make me go here. But she said it was either Buckner- which is a rich school for rich students I know I wouldn't fit in there at all. Or there would be Carlton- where I know I wouldn't fit in there either. But I picked Carlton for my sister. I know I'm never gonna find any friends here. So why didn't I pick Buckner, I mean it was my choice though.  I looked around, at everyone then to the teacher who was signing to us. I couldn't understand I mean I'm good at signing but not fast.  I looked around everyone looked at me.   I wonder who the boy was who showed me here. I looked back to see him sitting in the back.  I looked back at the teacher.  "Okay everyone class is over." The teacher signed I grabbed my stuff and started walking out.

Emmetts pov

I was walking down the hall when I bumped into the new hearing girl. Who was really pretty.  She looked lost so I decided to help her. I wonder what her name is. I watched her walk out of the classroom. So I decided to walk after her. I tapped her shoulder making her turn around. "What's your name?" I signed to her watching her as she read my hands. "I'm Nicole." She signed. Nicole is a nice name it fits her what am I saying I don't really like hearing people."I'm Emmett." I signed to her. I looked at her a smile spreading on her face. "Nice to meet you Emmett." She signed I nodded and started to walk away but I was stopped by bay. "Who's she?" She signed  making my smile fade. "Chloe's sister she's just a friend to me." I signed to her.  Bay nodded wait why would she care I mean I've been trying to get her back for a while but that hasn't happened. I think I might want to move on. I don't know really.

Nicole's pov

I looked at Chloe as we sat at lunch. I didn't really fit here her friends would glare at every so often. I saw Emmett sit down beside me and look at Chloe. "Hey Chloe." He signed. I watched them, sign to  each other. I feel out of place here. I started to stand up. But was pulled down by Chloe.  "Where you going?" She signed to me I looked at her "I'm gonna go i feel like I'm out of place." I signed   I looked at her, and stood up as she let go of me. As I was walking away I bumped into someone. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." I signed as I helped the person pick up their food.  "Oh it's ok." The guy said making me look up. "Your hearing?" I asked   He nodded as we threw away the mess we made.   As we finished I looked at him, a smile spreading onto my face. "I'm Nicole." I said while signing he smiled and said "I'm Justin." He said  I nodded looking into his eyes. I looked over at Chloe and Emmett who watched me. "I should go." I signed.  He nodded and I walked back over to the table and sat down. "Who was that?" My sister signed I looked at her and shook my head "just someone I bumped into." I signed back. She nodded and went back to Emmett who would look at me every now and then. "Let's go." I signed   To my sister who sat there looking at me. "Why?" She signed back confused I shook my head "I'm gonna leave." I signed she nodded and pointed to Emmett "emmett can drive you home." She signed I nodded standing up and following Emmett.

"Why do you want to leave early?" He signed   I shrugged  looking away as I grabbed the helmet I put it on and looked at him. "Wanna go somewhere?" I signed he smiled and nodded. I let him drive to wherever he wanted. I hope where he's taking me it will be fun
