Chapter Six

 99 Problems

I was pretty sure if you looked up awkward in the dictionary, a description of this date would be an example.

I don't even think I could call this a date, because it wasn't.

This was the cousin of the guy I like cock blocking the fuck out of us. I am not exaggerating on this either. I have counted at least four times where Giovanni has a made an attempt to either hold my hand or kiss my cheek and Lysander just so happens to do something to distract him.

He was treading on some thin ice at this moment.

I slouched back in my seat and folded my arms across my chest. My eyes narrowed at Lysander as he took a seat in front of me. Giovanni had gone inside the café to get our drinks. Apparently the movie didn't start till eight-thirty, so we had about twenty minutes to kill.

I continued to glare at the devil spawn across from me, until he finally looked up and gave me a bored expression. "What?" His accent was extremely thick and I felt my stomach flip and my wolf get antsy.

I swear to god, if you don't calm the fuck down. I threatened my wolf and I heard him whine, but he obeyed and did as I said.

"What's your aim?" I asked, my expression and posture not changing. I was trying to be intimidating, but judging from the deadpan look on Lysander's face, he wasn't feeling threatened.

"My aim? I do not have a gun to aim?" It came out as a  question and I opened my mouth to say something, but closed it when I realized he probably didn't know that expression.

"No, I mean why are you here? This is a date. A date happens between two people, so why aren't you on one with your girlfriend?" I questioned, sitting up but keeping my eyes narrowed.

"I do not have a girlfriend." He said, his words laced in confusion. I cocked my head to the side and rose and eyebrow.

"Then who was the girl at the club?"

"A one night thing."

"Did you tell her that? Cause she looked like something more."

"I did."

"I would've punched you if it was me."

"Oh, she did." He moved to the side and I saw the faint purple bruise on his jaw. Damn that must've hurt. I started to wonder if we shot back, but then I realized he didn't seem like that type of person. Then again, my judgment has always been wrong.

"If you broke up, then why are you here? Go find someone else to bother." I said, shaking my head in confusion. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what could be keeping him here. I didn't know him and the same with him, so there was nothing in that part. I would say he was being protective over his cousin, but from the looks of it, I'd say Giovanni is older than Lysander by about three years.

"I have found someone." He answered with a smirk. I narrowed my eyes again and pursed my lip. He was really pissing me off.

"Then leave and go be with them." I said through gritted teeth. He looked at me for a while with an unreadable expression but then as small smile fell on his lips.

"I am." Was all he said as Giovanni appeared at our table, drinks in hand. I was stunned for a second as  Lysander's words sunk in.

Wait.
