You know Gold isn't one of those emotional types, which is why you don't expect much of him when you start to get closer — no grand romantic gestures. However, he utterly amazes you as he invites you to Granny's, and when you walk in, you see that the diner is empty. Except for Rumple. And a candlelit dinner, with roses and everything. Simply put, you're surprised and profoundly happy, and that makes him just a tiny bit proud of himself.
