Running Away

Those nights when all your mind says is "Run". Run the hell away from all of it. To a friends, a lovers, family members, hell even the streets. When you get out for a bit and stare at the stars. Wishing you were nothing but a shimmer in the outer worlds never to be found. Then finally you give in and get away. Finally, finally. It has been too long. Welcome the familiarity of loneliness and the cold. But nothing is as lonely and cold as your thoughts. Nothing compares to them. Wish my thoughts were organized to constellations as the stars. Some to be seen by few at a time and some to never be seen as they are faded out. I would much rather die in the freezing place known as the outdoors than to die in the freezing place once called home.
