Created from the earth's skin
Molded from its clay
Shaped to perfection
Life beganA small flame inside
All on its own in this dark world
Growing slowly, shining brighter
Making its presence knownThis is your mind, body and soul
All working together in harmony
A peaceful organism at birth
Changed by the ways of the worldSuppressed by societies laws
Oppressed by its own people
Depressed by the disappoint in ones self
Stressed about life its selfAll of this a weight on your spirit
Holding you back
Preventing your greatness
Challenging your will powerDepression is your anchor
But like baby, you start small
You crawl, on your hands and feet, then
You walk, standing on buckled knees, then
You run, driven by powerful legsSoon you come to realise
The anchor was never there
It was your minds imagination
You are your own enemyClose your eyes
Take deep breathes
After all that happens, you come to see
A fire needs air to grow
