Chapter Two:

"Ugh! We have a test today! Why! Why today of all days! Why on a thursday! A THURSDAY!"

"Oh, come on. It's not that bad. Better than a Wednesday or Tuesday."

"Yeah! I would DIE if it was on a monday!"

My name is Conrad. Conrad Soule. I'm the one that is not yelling and complaining about a test that was postponed to today. Well even though I am the one talking to you this story is not about me. No. This is about Jeremy. Jeremy is . . . well I'll let you see you and determine for yourself.

"Hey! Hey! Suzie! Did you study?!"

"Study? Study! I forgot to study!"

"Will you all please stop yelling!"

"Geez, you don't have to yell we are right here ya know."

RIIIIIIIGGGG!!!!!

"Come on. Thats the bell. We are already late."

Now. This. This is where this story gets a little strange. You see, Jeremy is known as the "Character Clown" he can impersonate anybody. Anybody. Voice and all. Well, the whole school loves it and goes crazy for it. Well anyway, the first time I noticed "it" was right before the test.

"Heeyy. Heeyy. Jeremmyy. Heeyy."

"Yesss oh beautiful Julia"

"Will you pretty please pretend to be Richie Carson? Pleeasee?"

"Oh, do you mean like this! Why hello there miss. Are you the princess I'm looking for?"

"AAHH! OH MY GOD! AHH! How do you do that!"

"Oh you know, it's all in th-"

Then. Bam! His head dropped on the desk and and he didn't move for a few seconds. But this was normal. The teachers told us that he had some condition that caused him to faint and that when he does faint he needs to go to the nurses office. Every teacher knew this. Everytime he would faint, when he got up the teacher would immediately escort him to the office. No one knew why. But the thing about today was that there was a substitute. And as soon as she opened the door Jeremy lifted his head. Everyone was silent.

"Okay class. You have a test today. But first roll call."

You could feel the tension in the air. No one, NO ONE knew what happens to Jeremy after he faints. But he was quiet. Too quiet. With every name she called she got closer and closer to Jeremy's name. Then, then she called it.

"Jeremy Thomas."

No answer

"Jeremy Thomas!"

He still wouldn't answer.

"Is Jeremy absent today?"

"No. H-he is sitting right there."

Some kid that sits two seats down from Jeremy said that. But then, she walked right up to Jeremy's desk. As if she couldn't even feel the tension.

"Excuse me Jeremy but I called your name and you did not answer."

Then he spoke.

"That aint my name."

"Excuse me?"

"I said, That Aint My Name!"

"W-what?"

"My name is Milo. Get it straight! The heck you callin' me Jeremy for? That aint my name! God! Stupid dumb ugly chic callin' me some dumb name. What am I even doin' here? I'm outta here!"
