Riddle 16 : A Japanese ship was in route to the open sea. The captain went for a shower removing his ring and keeping it on the table. When he returned, he found it had gone missing. The captain immediately called the 5 suspected crew members and asked each one where they were and what were they doing in the last 15 minutes. The cook said he was in the fridge room getting meat for cooking, the engineer said he was working on the generator engine, the radio officer said he was messaging to the company about the arrival, the seaman said he was on the mast correcting the flag which was upside-down by mistake, and the navigation officer said he was sleeping in his cabin. The captain immediately caught the thief. How?
