They knew I was feeling down
When I hit the ground
They knew it was a feet,
But to them it was a treat
They knew that my heart was broken, misshapen
To them it was theirs for the taking
They knew I'd been pushed and thrown around
Yet they still saw me for my pounds
They knew I would tell no one
Because
It's how they have fun,
But now I'm doneI refuse this image you've created for me
I refuse their fame they've made of me
I have teachers and students and friends alike
To support me in this treacherous fight
Now I don't worry about what people think
Not let them throw me around like their rag doll
I am free from the grasps that held me
From my full potential, from who I am
I am free
And they'll never know my story
If only they knew
