"You're mine", I breathe out clenching onto her with a burning need. I couldn't help my possessive nature for her, but I knew she wouldn't mind it. I saw it in the way she looked at me. She was happy to hear my words. To be claimed by me and only me. It warmed my heart to feel her slightly relax in my arms. Only I could protect her. Only I know her.
I whispered her beautiful name. Admiring the way it rolled off my tongue. My hand creased the side of her soft cheeks. It was a tad cold, yet her cheeks still held color to them. My right hand slid to her soft tangled black hair. The moonlight shone off her black slick wet hair from the rain. She looked up at the sky and this glint in her dark brown eyes shone vibrantly. I was drawn to that glint. For some strange reason, I was incapable of leaving her. She never had to say anything for me to understand what she wanted. I could practically hear her screaming the words with every look she gave me. It was the other way around as well. I needn't talk for her to understand my own feelings nor actions.
Her eyes fell back on me and I couldn't help the amused smile to flick across my lips. She seemed so innocent and carefree. As though she understood the entire world possibilities in that fleeting moment. I wanted to witness what exactly she saw when looking up. All I saw was a dark sky with multiple stars, but she saw the universe for what she just knew it was worth. I adored the way her eyes showed a clear path of who she wanted to be with for the rest of her life. She would never waver and neither would I. A strange sensation exploded in my heart, and the dropping temperature from the rain hadn't affected me as the sensation warmed every part of me.
I leaned towards her. She stopped breathing for a second. I held back a laugh. I could feel her nervousness radiating off her like a hot oven. I loved how I, and only I, could strip away her guards, and leave her in fear. Not just fear, but an anxious excitement. Her hand had found its way behind me, holding onto my leather jacket. My eyes became heavy, knowing what's to be expected, but I wouldn't take my eyes off hers. I felt as though I was being consumed by the endless flame inside them. Now, barely inches from her mouth, for the first time in my life, everything went quiet, and it was just the two of us. The last thing I remember is the deafening sound of our breathing filling my senses. That closeness we shared for such a split second in time. Where was she now?
