Rebekah,

I apologise for the space of time between this letter and my last, New Orleans is no longer safe, I have taken to not leaving our dear nieces side, so if my writing is messy I'm sorry. I miss you dearly and this will hopefully be my last letter before you come home...

I'd felt a tugging at my heart, as I woke up, the thick blackness that has enveloped me had been pulled away and I was, somehow, still in New Orleans and, surprisingly, so were my siblings.

Along with my dearest Posie.

The time I'd been asleep had seen a dramatic change in the French Quarter, making it almost unrecognisable to me, in the time Klaus had also 'adopted' a young boy, Marcel I believe, and the city was thriving.

I would never approach the Mikaelson mansion, it was out of my remit to even glance about where my long lost siblings lived.

During the summer of 1904 I was seeing a young man, Louis, who had somehow fallen in with Elijah, both being noble and proud men, both paying handsomely to restore the Grecian looking theatre.

Through Louis I did, somehow, end up within the hallowed halls of the Mikaelson household, I was mesmerised by how affluent you had all become, how well you all dressed, I was particularly enthralled by your dazzling good looks, Rebekah.

Looking at how beautiful and immortal my siblings were almost stopped me from noticing the, now, dark haired girl standing slightly behind you all, clutching Marcel Gerard's hand tightly, as if she was his governess.

I can remember the feeling of my heart almost bursting out of my chest, it couldn't be her, I thought, although I desperately wanted it to be.

"Posie." I whispered, low enough that no one seemed to notice, apart from Niklaus who's head snapped in my direction and stared at me, his head slightly cocked to the side as he inspected me.

I couldn't tear my eyes away from my little brother and when he turned behind him and whispered to the girl I had loved for forever and a day my heart constricted, surely he wasn't in love with her too...

I didn't notice her vanish from where she was standing by Niklaus, I had blinked my eyes to find her right in front of me, her huge brown eyes sparkling in the light of the crystal chandelier handing from the ceiling.

"Freya, what are you doing here?" Posie whispered vehemently.

"I could ask you the same." I retort, suddenly angry that she had led me to believe she was dead and had the audacity to question why I was there.

These were my siblings, she had found them and hadn't thought to find me and tell me, her old promise was now empty.

There was a tense silence between the two of us, staring each other down.

"Freya..." Posie began, her hand reaching to touch my face but I flinched away.

"You hate Klaus and now you're living with him." I almost shout in disbelief.

"It's a long story, please let me explain." Posie almost begs.

"Get away from me, I never want to see you again."

The lie escaped my lips more easily than I expected.

"Freya you can't mean that."

"Don't tell me what I mean, Posie, I know what I mean."

"So that's it, almost one thousand years and you're going to leave me without any sort of explanation."

"You found my siblings, that was the deal, you found them, you're released from pretending to love me now. Goodbye Posie."

and that's where my love story ends, I don't know what happened to the only girl I have ever and will ever love.
I don't know whether she's dead or alive but I haven't seen her in over one hundred years and doubt I ever will again.
my happiness and love now is directed to our family and it's safety.
I hope you are safe, send word when you are coming home.
my love always,
your sister Freya xxx
