It was a full year later, and I still could not figure out why the orange eyed one told me to take this assignment. Me and the President commonly wrote letters to each other, like pen pals. He had an odd fascination in me, but we could never speak on the phone, for the only phone at the train station was in Vladimirs office. He was planning on a visit soon, the day before I went on the Trans-International. The Trans-International train was a train like no other in the world. It ran from Moscow to Sacramento, California all the way through Europe and after its stop in Sacramento, it made a straight shot into the Russian States. It crossed the seas and many countries. Built by humans, but worth so much, it being so elegant and graceful. It was a pinnacle of speed. It was a global train. It was October 27th, 1947 and I was making my rounds as security before my next assignment when I noticed a young girl standing at the end of the train station.

Chapter 11

I walked up to this girl and struck up a conversation.

"Hello there young lady." I said.

She looked at me and quickly looked away.

"Hi there." she said.

She sounded scared and nervous.

"What is a young girl doing out here in the morning so early?"

"I'm waiting to get on the train like everyone else."

"Well how old are you young lady?"

"I'm twelve."

She kept her back turned toward me and would not look at me.

"May I please see your train ID?"

She pulled it out of her coat pocket and handed it to me with shaky hands. I opened it up and took a look at the name on the card. Alexandra Klasnikov. At this moment, I could hear the train rumbling in.

"Alexandra?" I said. "Is it really you?"

She turned around and I saw. She had the same beautiful eyes as before. I tried to hug her, but she pushed me away.

"Alexandra, it is me, your father."

"He told me about you, as I could not remember much from my childhood, but he told me what you did."

"Who did?"

"The man with the red eyes, the one who has been taking care of me."

"Taking care of you?"

"After you tried to kill me, he took care of me and made my life better, after you killed my mother," she said, "why did you do that father?"

"He told you this?"

"Yes, they did, and I remember you carrying my mother down the stairs and then I heard those terrible noises, the ones like a bell."

The train was rumbling closer and I could almost hear the brakes being activated."

"Alexandra, they were lying to you."

"No they weren't!"

"Yes they were Alexandra, I never tried to hurt you, I only wanted what was best for you!"

Many people were looking at us yelling at each other, but none came over to say anything.

"No you did not and you can live with what is about to happen!" she yelled.

She ran down the station as far as she could and jumped onto the tracks. The train had not been braking hard enough, for the station was a kilometer long, and she was hit and slammed under the train. I heard a small scream and for a moment after the world was silent. I had not seen one of the masks the entire time I was here, but I had just realized why they wanted me to come here. To watch her die. I was stupefied and I immediately passed out.
