As Dec spent his evening at Ants, Robbie was busy getting ready trying to style himself to perfection but going wrong, he was hopeless sometimes at dressing himself.
Ayda, his best mate came over after he phoned her in a blind panic "okay I'm here" Ayda said walking into his room, he was just in his boxers "oh thank god help me please" he smiled hopelessly at her as she seen about 5 shirts on his bed and jeans on his chair "what shoes have you got" she said going over to his show rack seeing a mixture of browns and blacks "what are you doing" Robbie quizzed as she whizzed round his room sorting a outfit in under 2 minutes "here" she smiled "how...oh my god it's perfect" Robbie said amazed looking at the dark blue jeans, medium brown suit shoes, and crisp white shirt "go on put it on, he must be important if you asked me for help" Ayda said and Robbie took the clothes off her changing into them immediately, he looked in his mirror and stood on his side and smiled "see this is why I love you" he winked at her through the mirror "I'm more than a personal outfit designer" she laughed handing him his shoes "I know babe" he smiled and kissed her on the cheek, he calls every women babe or something like that ayda knows there's nothing in it "what's his name" ayda asked sitting on his bed "umm" Robbie stammered "g..Gary" he shyly said "ohh have you gone shy!? You must like him you've gone shy" Ayda beamed, Robbie blushed "shut up" he laughed putting some aftershave on, his best one, and stood in the mirror happy with his outfit, brown suit shoes, dark jeans, white crisp shirt and his black jacket "you ready" she asked coming up behind him "he's special otherwise you wouldn't have gone to so much bother getting ready" she said wrapping her arms around him hugging him from behind, he leaned back into his best mates touch "special is definitely what he is" he smiled "be carful though it's a first date I know what you're like"
"I won't do anything I swear" he winked as she let go of him "I should go, thanks again I'll call you later tell you how it went babe" Robbie said and kissed her on the cheek and left his room to go to the car he had waiting for him to pick Gary up
At dinner
Gary was observing Robbies behaviour, it's not what he expected. He expected a smug guy, one that's only after one thing. He never expected Robbie to be so polite and caring towards him especially since it was a first night out together, Robbie insisted he paid for everything and that he's treating Gary to a nice relaxing nice since he's been so busy and stressed "at least let me pay for something" Gary said not wanting Robbie to pay for everything he's not that kinda guy "I asked you to dinner it's only fair I pay" Robbie smiled as their food got brought to them, he just looked at Gary, unable to believe he's sat at dinner with such a handsome man "so if you don't mind me asking" Gary started "why me" he asked genuinely as he continued to eat but looked at Robbie waiting for a answer
Robbie looked at the table smiling slightly then looked up at Gary, twiddling his cutlery in his hands "you want the truth" he asked picking up his water, recovering alcoholic, Gary nodded slightly "there's something about you, something that draws me to want to know more" he looked straight into Gary's eyes as he finished then drank some water. Gary felt a feeling he's never felt before towards anyone, it's almost like he's got butterflies go off inside him, something a teenager would get "really?" Gary smiled leaving further into the table putting his knife and fork down, putting his elbows on the table liking his hands at the top, he rested his chin on his hands "what do you want to know" he asked and seen Robbie put his glass back down "I want to know if you'll come back to mine tonight" Robbie said smoothly, Gary chuckled at his boldness and upfront attitude but he's keeping Robbie waiting he's not doing anything yet "id love too but I need to get stuff done" he lied "with your fame with your fans you could have anyone"
"Yea I guess I could...funny how you're the one sat here isn't it?" Robbie said smiling "only because you practically begged me" Gary laughed, he wants to know more about this pop star he wants to know everything before he jumps in "all I can ask of you is, don't believe everything you've read about me I'm not that man" Robbie said seriously wanting Gary to trust him because he really likes him
"Enlighten me then what kind of man are you"
"I'm doing all I can to be a better man give it time you'll see who I am believe me" Robbie said looking at Gary, who was looking at him listening carefully not knowing if Robbie was just saying this to get him or if he genuinely means it "okay" Gary whispered and nodded "bare in mind I've read all there is to read about you, not exactly the perfect picture" Gary joked making Robbie laugh a bit "I know I know"
There's something about him, I can't figure out what it is but I hate to admit it but I really like him Gary thought as they spent the rest of the evening eating and talking
