"Here. Now get out" I shoved the USB in his hand. If someone saw us right now, they'd think we were enemies when in reality it was the exact opposite.

"You heard the woman" Max said.

"Ooh, 'the woman'. Hear that, Hols?" Zac watched me, waiting for my reaction.

"His woman" I smiled, not giving him the reaction he wanted. He raised his eyebrows but the grin didn't disappear. Instead he nodded his head, "If you say so, sweetheart"

He turned on his heel and left the apartment. My tense body relaxed. When two of them were in the same room together, it made me stress so much.

If he came to our wedding it would be hel-

I paused.

Did I just say wedding?

I let out a groan. I was head over heels for Max that I was actually imagining a future for us. God, how sad was that? It made me cringe even thinking about it.

"You okay?" Max touched my arm. I turned to him, "Huh?"

"You let out a groan" He chuckled at my slow reaction, "If you're getting sick of him, you should let him know. He's extremely disrespectful"

"Maxy, you know he's been my best friend forever, I'm not getting sick of him. Sure he can frustrate me at times but hey, you do the same"

"Don't compare me to him please"

"Aww I'm sorry baby" I made kissy childish sounds and he rolled his eyes with a grin.

"You're insane"

"Then we go well together" I kissed him on the cheek and he grinned. I pulled back to look at him, "How are you after last night?"

"The hangover went away quick enough thanks to you"

I rolled my eyes but hid the smile. He always made sure that I was aware he appreciated me which made me happy.

"So... I have news" He said slowly.

"News?" I asked.

"My family are going to be coming over soon"

My face dropped and He grimaced at my reaction.

I let out a loud groan and fell into his chest, "I'm going to die" I whined. His arm wrapped around me and he kissed the top of my hair, "We'll survive"

His family was his mother and father.

Those two people whom hated me.

They pretended they didn't but they did.

They weren't fans of how I grew up. Being raised by two mothers. They were against the same sex marriage. I wanted to argue with them so bad and tell them to be more open minded but they were my boyfriend's parents.

They also looked down on me because they saw me as poor. I mean if you're working two jobs, is that what people really think of you?

I see myself as a hard working independent individual but maybe that's just me.

I guess they didn't see me as the perfect match for their son.

"Hey" He snapped his fingers, getting my attention, "Look at me. They can't choose who I love"

"I know" I told him, confidently.

He smiled, "Thought you were getting worried for a second"

"Me? Worried? Don't make me laugh, gorgeous" I paused, "But when are they coming? I better start tidying the house"
