Sunlight drifted around the red velvet curtains shining down on me. Stirring in my sleep I slowly sat up rubbing my eyes. Running my hands through my long white hair a maid walks in, peering at her from my dark sea blue eyes.
“princess your morning meal is ready.” the kind old maid Helga said “would you like help dressing?” she questions.
“Yes please Helga.” I said standing up deciding with Helga to wear a dark purple dress with long sleeves that accented my curves.
Slowly walking down the stairs and into the kitchen I walked through to the dining room.
“Elena wonderful of you to join us.” father says wiping his mouth with a napkin.
“yes.” I said sitting down putting my napkin on my thighs to protect my dress.
“Elena when are you going to start thinking about marrying?” my mother asked making me choke on my juice
“why would you ask that mother?” I asked regaining my composure.
“because I want grandchildren before I die.” she said like it was normal.
“mother you are not dying anytime soon!” I grumbled making my parents chuckle. “It's not funny.” I said blushing
“Well at least think of a man.” mother said picking up her fork again.
I slowly stood up wiping my mouth after the meal going outside into the forest past the garden. The forest was a wonderful place u could climb trees and run with the horses without anyone knowing. I undressed putting my dress on a tree branch changing into black pants and a white silk shirt with a brown leather jackets and brown leather boots.
Quickly running with my bag slung around my torso I ran to a special grove of herbs I planted almost 10 years ago. I picked some of them putting them into my bag. These herbs had healing properties that I could use for children. They were sweet and children seemed to take the cold medicine easily.
“okay this should speed up the process of broken bones and this for cuts, now only to find that wolf.” I said walking around looking for him.
“I thought I left him here?” I said suddenly hearing a growl from behind me, turning around to see him laying on his side. I walked toward him slowly with my head down putting my hand forward I pet him slowly.
“wolfie will you turn on your side so I can put this on my wound?” I said pushing him over as I fed him some of the herbs I held pressure to the big gash , wrapping him up with gauss I looked at him smiling. “you can go now wolfie.” I said waving him off watching as he walked into the woods.
“grrrraaahhhhwww!” a huge roar swept threw the forest, making the trees bend to it's will. A huge dragon stepped over the trees growling as it spotted me with its venomous glare. I froze this was a dragon a dragon was in front of me. My breath was ragged, slowly I bowed as if this was anything like a hippogriff. No this dragon was going to kill me.
I ran.
I ran.
I ran like all of hell was just behind me.
