Chapter 8

Conan

I was standing at the entrance door of the Imperial Palace of Tokyo.

Nakamori-keibu and his men are just outside the palace.

Ran, Sonoko and Oji-san too.

But I wondered, where did my twin go?

Suddenly, a silhouette came running from the back of the palace.

As I stared at it, I realized it was oni-chan.

She stopped running and looked at me with a smile that I cannot understand.

I quickly went near her and asked her sternly. "Where have you been young lady?"

"Just went at the back of the palace." She replied.

"And why?"

"Nothing, but first I have to give something to Nakamori-keibu."

She walked towards Nakamori-keibu who was still cursing.

"Nakamori-keibu!" She called.

Nakamori-keibu faced oni-chan while his brows met.

"What do you want brat?" He asked.

"Don't call me brat, if you want to get this back." Oni-chan replied and raised her hand with a...

A jewel?!

"NANI?! Isn't that the jewel Yasakani no Magatama? How did you get that from the hands of that demon?" Nakamori-keibu asked with shock.

Everyone was shocked too. Even me.

"I got it from Ku--- I mean Kid." She said. Then she gave it to Nakamori-keibu. "That's not the jewel Kid was looking for anyway."

Nakamori-keibu stared at the jewel with disbelief?

"How come?" He whispered to himself.

I guess he's still wondering how oni-chan got it from Kid.

Well, that's her. Always finding a way.

I sighed then walked to oni-chan.

"That was a nice job!" I said to her. "How'd you get the jewel from Kid?"

"Secret!" She said as she winked and put her hands on her mouth, as if she's saying 'sssshhhhh'.

I looked at her annoyed. Always a girl with secrets.

Just then, Ran-chan, Sonoko and Oji-san went near us.

"Oi you brats, Ran said you need to go home." Sonoko said.

"Tsss." I heard oni-chan whispered to herself.

"Sorry Conan-kun, Cachima-kun. It's already past midnight and you still haven't sleep. And you had school tomorrow." Ran said.

We just nodded then we followed them to the car. Except for Sonoko. She said she will stay with her uncle Suzuki.

As we drove home, Ran began to ask oni-chan questions.
