"Uh..its time for....bed..yes! Its getting late and i think you shoukd go to bed" She finished

i was worried about my mum but decided to do as i was told.

before i went into my bedroom i checked the time...12...again.

when ever 12 comes she makes us all go to bed even dad!!

(in the middle of the night)

I couldnt get to sleep...i just kept thinking about what mum said..so i decided to ask her.

I got up and quietly crept into my parents room..hoping for my sake and for theirs that they were just sleeping......nothing else..

I didnt expect what was on the other side of thr door.

I fell to the floor as i watched my mother grow fangs and suck my fathers neck dry.

why? how? i thought...unless..

My mother stopped and let go of my dads collar. He fell stone cold onto the floor. Thats he was dead.

I tried to run up to him but before i could even get to his side i was grabbed by my so called 'loving' mother.

She gave me a toothy grin.

"emmy emmy emmy...i told you to go to bed." she said shaking her finger infront of my face, as if i was the one who did wrong.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT!" i screamed at her.

he snarled. the scream was obviously to loud for her ears.

she started to explain.

"if you havent figured it out darling....im not human..im more of a vampire..." she said calmly.

My eyes widened. Everything made sence now. why she hated garlic. how she lived the dark and had no sympathy when she watched someone get killed (even if it was on tv).

i was freaking out.

what if she bites me...i dont want to die..no!!

"dont worry im not going to kill you. why would i kill my own daughter. maybe mika but..not you"

Wait she could read my mind? i made a mental not of that...and what did she mean maybe mika??!!!

"How can i trust you and why keep me alive and not mika!!?" i shouted.

my mother put her mouth near my ear and whispered " Your just like me....your a vampire"

no....no. It couldnt be true! but it would make sence. I was always close to my mum.

she let go of me and walked to the door. "what are you doing?" i asked "tut. tut. tut. i cant leave mika out now can i?" she said as her chestnut eyes turned a bright red.

wait. she was going to kill mika.

I sprinted past my mother as she chased after me. She had obviously read my thoughts and knew what i was going to do.

I picked up the garlic, ignoring the pain it brought me, and threw it at my mother.

I paused for a slight second watching her scream i terror, then carried on my mission to save miks.

I pulled open the door and slammed it shut.

I noticed mika had woken up so i grabbed her and put her on my back. I then began to open the window.

"where are we going?" asked mika

but i ignored her...she started to cry but i had to ignore her.

I jumped out of the windown and dropped mika on the floor...i began to shout " you need to run! run to the bakers down the road and dont stop until you get there!" she gave me a questioning look " are you coming with me?" she asked. I shook my head.

she began to cry again. " i dont want to go in my own!!" she screamed.

I was about to explain what was happening. but then in the corner of my eye i saw a figure enter the bedroom and begin to shout " i know your in her...come out come out wherever you are!!"

i only had one option left.

I closed my eyes and began to rise off of the ground..my eyes pierced and i grew smaller and smaller, my skin became grey and i had leathery wings.

When i opened my eyes they were blood red....i screeched at mika and threatened to bite her.

she began to back away and ran in the direction of the bakery screaming "vampire vampire!!"

I turned back as tears rolled down my rosy cheeks.

It hurt me as she got further amd further away. but it was the only way she would stay safe.

I didnt like scaring people. being a vampire i couldnt stop..but being a bat i could. i vowed never to change again..now all that was left was to run, run far away and forget about everything.

(a yeat later)

I just finished sucking the blood of an innocent deer. the taste was delectible.

I couldnt stop gaining the traits of a vampire. It was part of me now.
