*A few hours and minutes later*

"Ha! Take that Onii~san!" Screams Takenshi, from a room with light peeking out from under the door.

"Not going to go down that easily my dude." Utters Shinzen from the same room. A narrator speaks out, "Game. Over."

"Got em!" Exclaims Tak.

"Wow, you've been getting better bro. Have you been cheating?"

"Hehe, maybe." The little one slyly announced. Shinzen gasps, before Takenshi could say that he wasn't. Shinzen checked his watch, to see it was 11:59 PM.

"Hey Taky?"

"Yeah Shinzen?"

"Close your eyes for a second, I need to get something." Shinzen explains before running out of the room to grab a little cube wrapped in a blue and white striped wrapping paper. "Okay, you can open your eyes now." Shinzen comments. Tak opens his eyes slowly and gasps at the light blue present.

"What is this for Onii~san?"

"Happy 10th year a- I mean birthday!"

"Oh snap! Thanks Onii~san!" shouts Takenshi before ripping the paper off the container. It was something Takenshi had been wanting for a while. It was a Paua Pendant. His eyes sparkle at the shimmering pendant.

Takenshi hugs Shinzen tightly. "Thank you, Onii~san!" he states in joy.

"No problem little dude." He replies, preliminary to hugging his blue hoodied brother back. He grabs the pendant from him, and puts it over his head. The two boys hear some quiet sniffling in the background. They turn their heads to see Opal, Kat, and Li. Shinzen gets up and bows, "Sorry Mama Kat, Li, and sister Opal, we woke you up didn't we?"

"Yeah, but it's fine Shinzen, we are happy to see you have given your little brother a little gift." Replies Kat. Opal yawns behind her.

"It's not okay! I was having a great dream!" Opal says angrily. Everyone chuckles at her little outburst.

"I just wanted to be the first one to give Tak his 10 year ann- birthday gift! It's a birthday gift!" Explains Shinzen nervously. Li and Kat awed at the charity and sweetness of Shinzen. The four grouped around Takenshi and sang him happy birthday. Tak's face gleamed like a New Years' ball. He was so happy to be in this family.

The next day.. (More like evening)

Everyone crowded little Tak, with his birthday cake and candle. "Say cheese!"
Exclaimed Li.

"Cheese!" The other four expressed simultaneously before a flash appeared from an electronic device.

"Did I blink?" Questioned Opal.

"No, actually, little Taky blinked." Kat said followed by a little giggle. Takenshi groaned.

"C'mon, I just want to eat." Irritatingly said.

"You sure you want to keep this then Tak?" Asked Li with a smile.

"Yeah yeah whatever Mama Li. I'm hungry.!"

"Alright Taky." Li says as she pats his hood.

"I call first slice!" Shouts Takenshi.

"Of course you get first slice dummy, it's your birthday." Responds Shinzen, grinning at his brother. Takenshi giggles at his little joke as he knew he would.
After their little feast, everyone went to sleep. Except for one small, blue hooded, boy.

He waited until everyone was out, unconscious from the rest they badly needed. The house was quiet, even a speckle of dust could be heard from a tiny movement. Little Takenshi had gone outside. He ran, far as he could into the woods. Little did he know, there was a reason why the Kat and Li had hoods last time they went out. Takenshi ran out seeking wildlife and all. The great winds of the midnight air flowed through his blue-gray hair.

Crackling was heard behind him. Sticks and leaves crushed with the essence of death. An eerie red form appeared above the dead plants. Takenshi still seemed like he was caught up with the different wildlife. The form walked toward him, slowly and frightfully. It grew over the boy, opening a mouth of blood and jaws of death. Takenshi seemed so unknown of the creature. The organism made a snatch and all that was left was a pendant. A blue, green and shiny pendant. No other sounds were made, but the organism seemed hungry still. A great light appeared on the chest of the monster. The screeches of its pain being heard in a 3 mile radius. It burst into flesh and blood, slowly burning away into ashes. The only thing standing was a boy with a blue hoodie. His eyes flashed red, an aura of red and orange surrounding him. He bent down to pick up his necklace, and put it back on. His eyes forming back to his natural color. He took a deep breath and headed home. All the lights were on, and he smiled. He knew why they were on. Everyone missed him and were searching for him. He walked back inside the house, and it wasn't what he expected.

"-the pendant?" Said a deep and ominous voice.
"I'm never going to let you get it!" Screamed Shinzen.
"You sure about that? It would be a shame for your own family to die."
Takenshi stood there in horror seeing a bundle of scythes about to cut Kat, Li and Opal's throats. Shinzen was being held up by a mysterious force. Tak tried to step forward, but the creaky floors were too loud. Everyone moved simultaneously. Takenshi's family, scared, of what their fate might be. The form dropped Shinzen, and rushed over to Takenshi. "That's a nice necklace kid."

"Yeah, I know." Takenshi responded bluntly.

"Can I have it? I'm really poor and haven't been able to get one like it."

"Aw, sure man." Takenshi took it off, and was about to drop it into it's hands. A smile formed across the form's face, evil and scarred. Takenshi was barely even an inch from dropping it above the monster's hand, until he said, "On one condition."

"Huh?"

"If you can live through the same attack your friend didn't." Takenshi bluntly spoke before his eye color changing into a pure red. The aura came back, stronger than before. A great heat was felt from everyone in the room. Takenshi held a ball of fire in his hand. He threatened the creature, "Leave or have the same consequence as your bud on the cliff."

"Like I'd ever fear a child like you." Scoffed the form, "Do you know who I am?"

"Yeah I know who you are."

"Oh really now? Who am I th-" A spear of molten lava flashes through the monster's chest.

"You're dead to me. That's what you are."
