Hey guys! Just before you read, I want to give a warning for some language that will be in this chapter. It will be between 2 specific characters that'll ill introduce but just so you guys aren't taken by surprise. Also if this offends you, I'm sorry. It's just the way I feel these two would be communicating. Also the house above is Dani's house. Thank you and enjoy! ☺️I woke up to the sound of yelling and cursing. I doubted it was my parents and got out of bed and leaned out my doorway. Listening carefully, I realized the shouting was coming from my window. I propped it open and looked out as I heard a door slam. Across from my window was the neighbors window, which had a blue room with a boy pacing in it. He looked angry and I figured he must have been the one to cause the yelling. He was gorgeous with his dark brown hair was styled to up into a quiff and he seemed fairly muscular. I must have been staring as he made eye contact with me and paused. Me, being the awkward person I am, slammed the window shut and closed the curtains. Awesome so now my hot ass neighbor thinks I'm weird. I sighed and started picking my clothes out. The day has hardly begun and I'm already embarrassing myself.
Logan's POV
Dad was drunk again when I came home last night. Sprawled out across the couch with beers scattered everywhere, he snores loudly. Even though this was a normal thing for us, I still hated it. I guess you could say he had a thing for alcohol, probably because my mom had died when I was twelve. Ever since, my dad had turned to alcohol to soothe his pain. He still goes to work but only kept his job because his boss was a close friend of ours. As long as he was capable, he could still work. But most nights I came home and he was like this. I hopped in the shower and tried to calm down. It always made me mad when I saw him like that, wasting his life away. After I got out, I checked on him make sure he was okay before going back upstairs and into bed.
The next morning I got dressed and brushed my teeth tiredly. I came downstairs and there he was, watching tv and starting his first drink of the day before it was even 9 o clock.
"Jesus dad. Wanna slow down a bit before work?"
He turned and glared at me.
" I'll be fine. Besides it's none of your business. Why aren't you at school already? I'm not paying for shit if you're not going to school! I deserve a drink after a long days work to provide for you!"
He yelled back. Here we go. I should know better but I was tired and angry.
"Working hard? You barely make it through the day before you go home and drink yourself away! And you hardly ever pay for anything to do with me! I'm the only fucking one working hard and deep down you know that too!" Before I could shout more at him, a beer bottle flew towards me. I dodged it and it shattered against the wall.
" You better be outta my fucking sight in 10 seconds or else I'll do something I'll regret later." He gulped down the rest of his bottle and turned the volume up. I stormed upstairs. This is bullshit. I'm fucking tired of living here and I can't wait to graduate and leave this hellhole. I walked across my room taking deep breathes to calm down but the whole scene kept replaying itself in my head. Suddenly I saw something out of the corner of my eye. She was staring at me intently. Her long blonde hair was in a ponytail and her blue eyes sparkled with curiosity. As soon as she realized I was looking back at her, she quickly shut her window and closed her curtain. The burst of panic that had been written all over her face made me chuckle, even with my foul mood. Well it wasn't so bad anymore. Looks like the new neighbors had a teenage daughter. This will be fun.Dani's POV
I skipped down the stairs quickly yelling for my parents. When there was answer, I glanced out the window into the driveway to see their cars were gone. Huh, must have already left for work. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a banana. I had decided upon black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt that said " NOPE " on it and my white converse. Grabbing my backpack and my phone, I went out the door. It was fairly warm out so I didn't grab a jacket. The school was only a block away so I walked unlike all the other graduates who drove. I had my license but I rather walk places than spend money on gas. Besides, this is a small town. I don't really need a car that often. My hair was blowing in the wind slightly as I had left it down. My hair was fairly wavy today.
"Hey there creeper." I jumped and looked up at the boy walking alongside me. I was about the greet him but then I realized I'd seen him before. I stopped and could feel my cheeks reddening. Oh no.
He smirked at me. " Do you always stare into other people's windows?"
