Percy and I had begun to wander back over to where Leo was building my cabin when we noticed that it was practically complete, he was on the roof carving a sun and dove above the patio that was decorated with plants and rugs. "OMG Leo this looks amazing!!" I shouted. He looked up from carving and jumped down from the low part of the roof, " Thanks (y/n), I'm glad your back though, I wanna show you the inside too." We all walked in together and saw the big bright windows and plants everywhere and all of the beautiful wood furniture. And when I walked into the bathroom I had never seen such beautiful tile work. "Leo this breathtaking!! I can't believe you did all this it's perfect, I hope you didn't overwork yourself because this is fucking stunning." He just showed me a big goofy smile then said, "Well it is for a goddess, I had to make it the best it could be." I was still looking around just in awe, " Leo Thank you so much this is honestly the most amazing thing I've ever seen somebody do and it was so fast and single-handed like you are a master of your craft." He slightly blushed then said, "You give me too much credit." I shook my head and laughed, "Dude I'm not giving you enough credit like I am fucking perplexed." Percy then nodded his head, "Yeah dude she's right like you did a great job" I was still stunned," Like Leo, this is totally gonna feel just like home thank you so much." He brushed it off sheepishly, "So what were you guys looking for?" My eyes opened wide," Oh yeah I completely forgot, I got a quest from the Rachel and I wanted to see if you would come with me 'n Percy." He looked up and said," Of course man let's do it where are we going?" "New Rome? I think it was. Right, Percy?", I asked "Oh boy, haven't been back there since the war.... I'm not sure if bringing me is a good idea last time I was there I fired on their camp" Leo said. "What war?" I asked "Dude you never told her?" Leo asked Percy "Hmm well I guess now is a good time, so last summer there was a war between the Roman and Greek demigods and 7 heroes were supposed to go on a quest to stop the Goddess or Titan Gaea what was she again? oh whatever but she needed to be stopped from causing mass destruction and overthrowing the gods, and the problem was is that the destined heroes were both greek and roman so we had to get them together," Percy said "Dude you are terrible at telling that story," a voice popped in
We all spun around to see Jason and Nico standing in the doorway.
Nico then said," So this is what all the noise was this morning." "It's really good Leo!" Jason said "Thanks, bro" he responded
"So Jason," I inquired, "Do I need to know anything more about the war before I go there and make a fool of myself?" Leo then chimed in," You should honestly bring Jason with you he's a roman demigod so he might be able to get you some more leverage if you need help over there or even bring Nico he visits there often because of his sister." "Wait you're Roman, that's dope but why do you live at the Greek camp?" I asked. "Well I'm one of the 7 heroes from the war and when I was at camp half-blood it really felt like home so I decided to stay." "Wow, you were one of the 7 heroes that's crazy." "Well, we all are," Leo said "I wasn't," Nico said "Yea but you were on the quest anyways." Percy chimed in. "Well that's mind-blowing, wow low key someone should make some history books for new campers like that's crazy." I said then smacked Percy's shoulder," And I can't believe you didn't tell me you were some hero" "Well I didn't to brag," He said "Stating facts isn't bragging." I laughed, "and besides it's not something to brag about it seems like something that could really deeply affect you all in so many ways. "Well what can you do except live," he said I turned to Jason, "So would you be willing to come with us?" "Of course," He said," I wouldn't want to let you go without some experienced companions" "Thanks, Jason!" I said while hugging him, " So guys what kind of shit should I prepare for?" Nico said," Well you should definitely pack necessities for traveling around be prepared for not having a place to sleep, food, or places to shower." "Oh great...." I said "Oh, and we have to bring ambrosia and nectar for healing along with drachmas and cash for emergencies," Jason said "Ambrosia and nectar?"I asked "It's the food of the gods but it has special healing properties for demigods," Leo said Percy then said, "Wait we should also find you a weapon you can use we don't want you out there completely defenseless why don't we head to the armory for a little basic training." "He's right, (y/n) you need to make sure that you find something suitable because it'll be the only weapon you have on the quest and monsters and all sorts of old gods come after demigods and they might be jealous of you being an actual God and all," Nico said. ~Time skip to the armory~ We all were at the armory where we were looking at weapons trying to decide what would work best with my skill set. I was looking at all the weapons which mostly consisted of swords and spears which honestly I didn't think I'd be too good with, "Is there anything that I can just like use to bludgeon monsters, like do you guys have a baseball bat or something?" Leo opened up another cupboard full of flails and clubs, "Are these better?" "Fuck yeah," I said as I pulled out a huge club. It was too heavy for me though and as I pulled it out I fell onto my backside, "Ow..... I guess I need something a bit lighter." "What about this?" Percy said while holding up a ball club with celestial bronze spiked on the stone. He helped me up and handed it to me and it was light enough to hold with one hand. I walked out and swung it real quick and said, "This actually might work thanks, man." "Alright! Let's get some practicing down," Percy said.
We headed out of the armory where Jason and Nico were setting up training dummies.
"What the hell is that?" Jason asked, "I thought you were gonna find a sword?"
"Well the swords kinda scared me but any random person can swing a club," I said
The guys then preceded to train me and let me practice beating the hell out of the dummies which was a great workout. Eventually, I was tired out and it was getting late so we decided to go grab some dinner and spend the rest of the evening relaxing before our quest.
