Chapter 4

Jason led me to a sky blue house and showed me to a table sitting there was Chiron and Mr.D. Chiron had this nostlagic and melancholy look in his eyes while Mr.D looked indifferent. I fiddled with my caramel curls and sat quietly, Chiron cleared his throat and said to me "(y/n) do you understand what this means." I silently shook my head, He frowned and said "(y/n) since two gods claimed you that makes you a goddess, well a minor one at that however you are stuck in a mortals body so when this boy fails you, you won't die you will have to forever continue to live until the end of Western Civillization do you understand what true immortality is its never being able to grow old never stopping when your done with life its eternal." I thought about it for a minute and thought well I understand the flaws of the plan and I know that I wont be able to handle the boredom but I can forever watch humanity progress I can gain power and wisdom and I know that in all honesty this is a fair trade off but even if I wanted a different life I have no choice these were the cards I was dealt. I looked Chiron in the eye assuring him I knew the struggles I would have to face in this mundane never ending life. I then asked, " I understand how death affects me but what am I supposed to do now.?" He looked at me and said, " I suppose you must train and live with the campers for now and  we need to have you see the Oracle but I think we should let you rest and get settled." I exited the farm house and walked towards the cabins when I found Piper and Will Solace in the walkway waiting for me. Apparently I had a choice of either sleeping in the Apollo cabin or the Aphrodite cabin, I chose to go with Piper but Will told me I was always welcome in his cabin. Piper and I continue to walk in silence when she said, "I like your makeup (y/n)." I skeptically looked at her and said, " what are you talking about my makeup got messed up during the museum incident." She then pulled out her knife and said,"Look at your reflection, when Aphrodite claims you she leaves you with flawless hair, makeup and clothes the time span varies but usually it's one week but you'll stay perfectly maintained weither you sweat, shower, or take it off." I raised my eyebrows and said, "oh boy perks." Piper then led me into the Aphrodite cabin its pepto bismo pink walls and decorations reeked of Victoria's Secrets Love Spell body spray. Everyone was running around with face masks and hair nets preparing for their "beauty sleep". Suddenly a snobbish girl came up to me and stated, " You shouldn't be here why don't you just go to the Apollo cabin." Piper ran over and said "Drew knock it off!" Drew then started to stomp her foot and exclaimed," She's not really one of us she belongs to those pigs too she is probably judging us right now!!" Most of the other residents seemed to agree and i stood up and said, " Well I guess your not evolved enough for me Drew." I turned to Piper and said,"Ima go see if Will's offer is still up for grabs sorry Piper." I left the cabin and wandered over to the Apollo cabin.  The boy who was fighting with the Aphrodite cabin kid was sitting on the stairs with some of his brothers when he saw me he rolled his eyes and said, " Oh its you." I squinted and asked,"Is Will here?" He scoffed and said ," Don't bother looking for him if Aphrodite's cabin didn't accept you what makes you think we would get lost." I looked at him and said," Is me being daughter of Aphrodite reason enough to disown me?" Everyone was silent no one answered, no one spoke up, no one wanted me. "Ok i see then."  I then felt slightly hurt and abandoned by my "family". I didn't know any of these people really bur i'm not used to rejection it confused me and poked at my soul. The part that really got me was the fact that we are supposed to be brothers and sisters we are supposed to support each other we are the only people who are supposed to matter because friends bail but family sticks together. I began to cry again, the wet tears began to dribble down my face onto my neck and down my shirt as one tear began to stream down my face I licked it as it traveled across my cheek it was sweet and warm. I thought I was so pathetic all I did today was cry. I walked down past the strawberry fields and I met a cliff overlooking the sea. The fragrance of sea salt, strawberries, and honeysuckle tickled my nose allowing a small smile to escape my lips as the warm breeze gently embraced my body. I examined my hands I noticed each scar, each freckle, each imperfection, each shape and texture that consumed my cinnamon colored hand. I thought 'this body I've grown so attached to it will just wither away one day, will my one and only true companion abandon me my one real friend abandoning me just like the rest of the world, I then realized that I can love, I love myself each flaw and disadvantage was part of the only person that was ever  on my side the only person that truly understood me was me. I dwelled in this abyss I caressed my own soul with every fiber of my being I felt the darkness envelope me i let it tell me that in every shadow there's an ecstasy and forbidden pleasure in which we all explore reside in anguish breathing in this forgotten sin in all of its concupiscence. However I can understand this because I'm willing to accept every temptation, sin, and passion.' I heard the waves crash onto the shore and saw the moonlight dance across the crystal clear water and I remembered the wise words of the only teacher I had ever respected, I then stripped down to my underwear and jumped of the cliff while screaming my muse's beautiful words, "LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG BE WILD AND HAVE FUN!"(Lana del Rey).I hit the water and began to cry and laugh as my body was massaged by the waves melting into the warmth.  I rubbed my leg against the ocean floor and felt soft sand and something warm and dry.............wait a minute DRY! Startled I jumped up quickly and saw Percy he jumped up then gasped, "(y/n) where did you come from!?!?!?!?!?!?!" I looked up then stated "The cliff" He cocked his head then said "What the hell were you doing up there?" "Living Fast." I smiled then said, "Well what's your excuse Percy." He looked down at the sea and said,"Me.. um ..I'm visiting the water." I giggled then said "Well I'm sorry that I disturbed you." and I began to leave when Percy gently grabbed my shoulder blade,"Wait" he said. I turned to face him my (e/c) eyes glistening against the turquoise water while he looked at his toes."A-are you okay (y/n)?" he stuttered. I smiled and said, "No one's ever okay, but it's cute that you think they can be." Percy just kinda blinked I coughed ,"Sorry you caught me in philisophical mood haha I think I'm a little crazy." He laughed "Well your a goddess aren't you I think that means you have to be." I looked at the ocean again and said," I guess I am." He steppe back and said" S-sorry (y/n) I didn't mean to upset you." Another tear rolled down my face," Oh God how embarrassing I'm crying again today." He looked despondent "I-I'm sorry "he said , I wiped my tears again and said ,"Don't worry it's not your fault." He smirked "Alright then lemme make it up to you." I raised my brow "How are you gonna do that?" He looked up "UUUUUUHhhhhhhh........." 

"You don't even know do you?" I laughed he crinkled his nose then said,"Why don't you let me take you out somewhere this weekend?" I smiled "Sure i'm down." I heard a few crunches in the distant sand and i turned around only to see Annabeth standing there. She stared daggers at me and faced Percy and said,"So is this how it's gonna be Percy......Are you gonna run around behind my back sleeping with skimpy little bimbos!!" The part that involved me hit me in my soft spot and I wasn't willing to let anyone else victimize me today. I walked a few steps closer,"Alright missy I've heard about enough of your accusations, y'know for a daughter of Athena your a pretty big airhead." She strained her neck then said "OOOOOOOOHHHH you call this a false accusation then please explain to me why you are standing there half naked next to my boyfriend!!!" I rolled my eyes,"Foo it's a beach and i just jum-....wait I don't have to explain myself to you prom queen! It's your insecurity but don't treat me like a slutt till you get your damn facts straight stop acting like a lil girl." With that last note I left Percy and Annabeth behind at the shoreline I was walking towards the cliff but I could still hear their argument. I could tell from Annabeth's tone she wanted to fight me and Percy sounded whipped and defeated when suddenly he started to retort her accusations."Annabeth if you are so jealous and controlling it's not gonna work out, your too smart for your own good you over analyze everything. Maybe a simple hello or a handshake is just a friendly gesture not some hidden intention!! Your manipulative,clingy, and you overreact about everything. If our relationship is ending its not because of another girl its because ever since we got back from Rome you've made me feel suffocated and sad! And even if I did like another girl it doesn't mean I would cheat on you!" Annabeth stood there dumbfounded then her shock and sadness turned to anger,"WE WENT TO TARTARUS TOGETHER! HOW ARE YOU SO READY TO ABANDON THE PERSON YOU WENT TO HELL AND BACK FOR!!!" Percy rubbed his nose, "I went in after you because I love you, but regardless I would've jumped in after Jason, Hazel, Frank or anyone else because I love them too! Remember my fatal flaw I'll never leave anyone behind!.......And I still care about you Annabeth, it's just this relationship will never work I hope you understand why." With that Percy took off running towards the cliff  screaming,"(y/n)!!! WAIT!!" I was still at the base of the cliff trying to climb up without much luck."(y/n) what the hell are you doing?" he laughed I turned around and said, " I think this qualifies as the dying young part of Lana's philosophy......but bruh shouldn't you go take a rest, like I didn't mean to eavesdrop but that was some loud deep shit going on down there." He flipped his hair and said," Thanks for the concern, but I feel liberated and seeing you win a argument with Annabeth gave me the cry of passion I needed to break away from that toxic relationship." "Well now I feel guilty." I giggled. "Don't (lol), well I think I have a better way to get you up this cliff......do you wanna try?" I smirked,"If it's Blackjack ima say no because I'm practically naked." He laughed,"It's not I promise, but do you trust me?" I gave him a stupid look and said, " I guess.." He then grabbed me by my hand and ran into the ocean and then taking me by surprise he pulled me into his chest and and wrapped his arms around my waist and back and I felt like we were shooting up as i got scared and wrapped my arms around him and buried my face into his chest. I then felt the water lick my face and I opened my left eye to see a wave carrying me and Percy to the cliff , the water seemed to glow as Percy's feet began to search for the land while the luminous water disappeared back into the ocean. My eyes began to dance with amazement as I stood on my tippy toes trying to look over Percy's shoulder. "That was so cool!" I yelped. Percy let go of me and I realized I was still wrapped around him, I nonchalantly removed myself from him and he smiled while his black hair began to blow in the wind that sent chills up my spine. I ran over to grab my clothes and felt completely dry as Aphrodite's blessing took over, I dressed myself and me and Percy started walking by the neighboring forest. I began to tease him, "SOO Percy where are you taking me this weekend?" He nibbled on his bottom lip and said, "Well I guess it's gonna be a surprise for you then." I rolled my eyes again when suddenly I heard the flap of wings, we both ducked down and he exclaimed,"Oh shit Harpies! I forgot about curfew! We need to get back to our cabins." He volunteered to take me back to mine but I didn't want him to know that I didn't have one so I told him I was gonna go see Chiron so he just ran with me over to the farmhouse. After he left I heard the Harpies still pursuing me so I ran to the dark black cabin that I assumed to be the Hades cabin. I was slamming my fist on the door to get inside, moments later Nico opened the door seeing the Harpies behind me he pulled me inside and slammed the door shut.  He then turned to face me," So (f/n)(l/n) what brings you to my cabin at this unpredictable hour?"Annoyed I blew air up to shift my bangs and said,"Just say (f/n) fam, and I kinda don't have a cabin right now, and since your dad pretty much took me in I consider this to be my best option." He smirked then said wow I haven't seen you since I was 6 years old." I smiled something about this boy was comforting but something was wrong he seemed broken and hurt. He pointed over to a empty bed and said," sleep there it's late." I then laid down and drifted off to sleep.
