Better Together (Laurmani)( COMPLETED)

Chapter 2

"Are you sure this is the best way to tell her?" Normani asked unsure.

She currently sat in Ally's car that was parked right out of Lauren's condo. It had been a few days since she told Ally and Demi about her pregnancy, they had promise Normani that they would be there to support her when she would tell Lauren about the pregnancy, but what they didn't tell Normani was that they were practically going to stage an intervention on her.

"Yes," Ally nodded, "Lauren can be very difficult at times, especially when the news is a bit shocking. So it would be better if all of us were there,"

"When I asked for your support to be there with me I meant like in the same building or like in the room next door," Normani explained.

"Oh trust me this is actually better," Ally said as she received a text, "It's Demi, she says their waiting for us. Dinah and Lucy are already in there… are you ready?"

Normani took a deep breath and nodded.

"Before we go," Ally began and paused for a second, "I respect you for what you're doing…keeping the baby that is. I respect you so much for that. I think it is incredible what you're doing, giving up your career and what not,"

Normani let a small smile, "Thank you,"

They got out of the car and headed inside the building. Saying that Normani felt nervous was the understatement of the year, how was she about to tell a stranger that she had got her pregnant?

Best case scenario Lauren would say she would be there for the baby. Worst case scenario Lauren wouldn't want to hear about them ever in her life. Normani guess it would be understandable, Lauren didn't look older than 26 but still if Normani had to deal with the mess they got each other in, Lauren had to know.

As they walked to the door of Lauren's condo Normani began to recognize the condo. She hadn't really paid any attention the night Lauren had brought her there nor the next morning when she had done her walk of shame.

Ally knocked on the door and seconds later Demi opened the door. As they entered the condo she saw Lucy  along with another girl with blonde hair, who she had no idea who he was. The only reason she knew Lucy  was because she and Demi were seeing each other and she had the chance to meet her a few times. But from what Demi and Ally told her he was Lauren's best friend.

"You must be the baby mama," The girl with the blonde hair asked as she  approached Normani, "I'm Dinah Jane  but people call me Dinah or DJ,"

"I'm Normani," Normani said nervously.

"Well at least you're hot. It be such a drag if Lauren knocked up a grenade," Dinah said carelessly.

"Ignore her," Lucy said to Normani.

"When is Ralph getting here?" Ally asked.

"Well today was a pretty easy day, she should be here within the next five minutes," Lucy explained.

"What about the mood?" Demi asked.

"Well that all depends," Dinah said, "But she seem in a pretty neutral mood this morning,"

"She's not going to be drunk or high if that's what you're asking," Lucy sighed.

"Okay truth time," Demi began, "Lauren in all honesty how do you think Lauren's going to react to all this? You have known her for way too long in my opinion you should know,"

Lucy looked at Demi and cringed slightly.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Normani  mumbled,

"Bathroom's the first door down the hall," Lucy said.
