Selfish

He thinks that by leaving I will think he’s selfish,
But I don’t.
He thinks that he hasn’t given me warning,
But he told me he was struggling just yesterday.
I am always joyful when you are happy,
But it doesn’t mean I am not sad when you leave.
I know you are happy somewhere,
But mostly you are hurting.

Life is a ghastly chain of entities following so closely to the next
They choke on each others blazen dust and smoke.
Can’t you see the colors seeping through?
Sometimes you’re going to breathe in too much your lungs will be blue
And when you feel you can’t sustain your own life you’ll cough.
Coughing up seas of blue turning your head away to go another direction.
Taking in another person's dust and smoke.

Maybe theirs will be pink.
Maybe theirs will be black.
Mine was blue,
Now turning green.

I don’t believe you’re selfish,
I am jealous you don’t see what I do.
A man who left for himself to be happy, a man no one else had truly seen.
