Today had been dreadful. I had spent hours alone in the classroom after school attempting to finish my coursework. My eyelids felt heavy, and my body felt fragile.

I pondered for a second before deciding to go out for a walk. It was getting late, however, I needed to have some alone time. I couldn't deal with the amount of work I had to complete, as well as knowing that I had to go back to school the next day for more. I felt as if I were drowning in responsibilities, therefore I hastily got changed into a tight white shirt, tucking it into my navy blue jeans.

I briefly scanned my room. It was somewhat tidy, with a few books dispersed here and there- I would fix it later.

A few minutes went by before I sprinted up to the door and into the street. It was quite dark, and I still wasn't sure that time I would be back home by. Sometimes I wished that I could avoid reality for all eternity...

I had wandered around for a while now. The slow fading of the sunlight also meant the fading of the heat. No more than an hour ago the sky was painted in vast hues of red and orange, and now they all seemed to disappear, leaving behind a dark grey canvas. I debated whether to return home before the night grew darker, but noticing a few street lamps scattered ahead, I decided against it.

The lampposts illuminated the gloomy street, and I observed as one flickered eerily on the pavement. It's orange glow suddenly grew dim, and I frowned slightly. Abruptly, I looked down, catching sight of an unexpected reflection of the streetlamp that struggled above. I half assumed it would be a piece of broken glass, and I automatically felt compelled to touch it.

When I did, it felt somewhat smooth. I soon discovered that it was not glass, but the back of a necklace as I swiftly picked it up. Gingerly, I gazed down at the superior silver chain sitting in the palm of my hand.

When I flipped it over, I gasped as I saw a shimmering blue sapphire made into the shape of a heart, further emphasising the beauty of the unique necklace. It really was alluring. A smile graced my features as I steadily held it up to my neck and put it on.

"Finders keepers." I whispered, before making my way back home.

As I started walking, the familiar sight of the street was made hazy by mist, and for a moment a raised a hand to my face in confusion. The atmosphere couldn't get misty that quick... Could it? The silvery mist seemed to lick at every surface, and only when I noticed it enveloping around me I realised that the necklace was emitting this strange sudden fog.

I couldn't help but freeze as my heartbeat began to amplify. The thought of taking it off didn't even cross my mind; I just stood there with wide eyes. My thoughts were distorted. This was something out of a film... A book... It couldn't have been real.

Regrettably, I was wrong. When I finally decided to take it off of my neck my surroundings had disappeared and I was no longer certain as to where I was.

I spun around in a full circle, gazing upon every object. It was a massive room. Abnormally massive. There was a large bed situated in the centre of the gigantic bedroom, a beautifully glossy tiled floor with an almost stadium-sized white rug laying over it. Even the window was huge, the giant desk, the flat screen TV, the sofa that sat against the beautiful ivory wall- decorated with a few astonishing paintings.

It was huge even for a giant room. I chose to do the typical cliché action and pinched myself. Hard.

Ouch. My mouth fell open slightly as I tried to stifle a laugh. I never knew why, but whenever I grew nervous I started laughing. Nervous laughter remained a curse.

After I had pinched myself and felt actual pain the realisation kicked in. This was real. I needed to get out of here. My breathing increased rapidly until I felt as if I were gasping for air. There was no way to emphasis how confused I was at this minute. And so, I ran.

I ran for around 20 seconds before stopping. I was unfit, and the room was too huge, it would take forever to find a way out. I gazed upon the huge door in the distance. It must've been over 100ft tall. This was beyond insane.

I remained motionless as I stood in the room. It would take ages to get anywhere, and I suddenly realised something. If this was a giant room, there must've been a giant person too. Once again, my heartbeat amplified and the first thought encircling my mind was to hide.

But it would take too long... And I'm so lazy...

I thought about books and films. Whenever someone hid, they would be found. It was inevitable. I wouldn't put myself through the stress of running around like a headless chicken aiming to find a hiding place. That would be so dramatic.

I rolled my eyes. I would never have called myself dramatic. I could deal with this, and everything would be fine. I smirked to myself, pride flowing through my body.

My thoughts came to a sharp stop as I heard several loud bangs. They grew louder and louder and seemed to increase in pace. My eyes widened as I felt the vibrations through the ground. Whoever it was probably wasn't even anywhere near the door yet... They must've been ginormous... And very heavy.

Suddenly, the door flew open and a colossal figure stepped into the large room. It was a guy, maybe around 18. I could tell his eyes were green even from down here. That's how big he was.

He weaved a tanned hand through his beautiful brown locks and bit his bottom lip as he began walking towards his desk, each step creating an earthquake-like sensation though the floor.

I gave up. Who cares about pride right? I ran. Faster than I ever had before. My legs moved at an astounding place as I attempted to run towards the sofa; I could hide under it.

Unfortunately, he automatically gazed down at me, a frown painted on his gorgeous face. I knew I shouldn't have ran. Pride is important. I shrieked as his figure grew near, steadily approaching my anxious self. He scanned my small body, eyes widening.

Quickly, he knelt down- obviously not caring how this would impact me. His body cast a shadow over mine, and we merely stared at each other until I watched as his massive hand shoot towards me, his fingers spreading out ready to grasp my smaller figure. I grew more nervous by the second, which resulted in the most humiliating experience of my life.

I laughed. I laughed until my stomach began hurting and I felt as if it contained several butterflies.

He simply gazed down at me, smirking and pausing in confusion.

"Well that's a first." He grinned.
