"Well that's a first." He grinned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I had embarrassed myself often, but this was just ridiculous.
After my abrupt laughing fit, I fell backwards and sat down gasping for air. The giant remained knelt down, staring at me with an amused expression. His eyes were the green of fresh dew glinting in the sunlight off of a leaf of green emerald. My cheeks had decided it was a suitable time to begin heating up, flushing a deep pink.
He continued smiling; it nearly made me melt into a pile of nothing. He had the kind of face that would've stopped you in your tracks. I'm sure he would've been used to that; the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they gazed upon him, followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant stare and a weak smile.
Of course the blush that accompanied it was a dead give-away. For a minute I became so absorbed in his features that I nearly forgot his size. His deep voice eventually startled me.
"Like what you see?" He questioned.
At this I raised a questioning eyebrow. He was definitely one of the vain guys, and where I come from, there are plenty of those. I didn't particularly appreciate their idiotic boastful remarks, and therefore I stayed silent.
"Oh sweetie, don't be shy, I don't blame you." He smirked somewhat tauntingly.
At this I rolled my eyes, still extremely intimidated, though I wouldn't allow myself to show it. His smile faded at my lack of words, and he frowned slightly. I was quite surprised, he didn't seriously expect me to speak to him?
The giant began chuckling to himself before reaching his massive hand over towards me. Instinctively, I yelled.
"HEY DON'T TOUCH ME!" I shrieked.
Surprisingly, his hand automatically retreated away from my irritated figure, and he began laughing again.
"Watch the attitude." He grinned jokingly, placing a hand beside me.
I glanced at his hand. It was larger than me. I felt myself beginning to feel awkward, however, I was glad he didn't actually touch me. Fortunately, it didn't appear as if he would at the moment. I sighed and gave in, deciding that I should say something. There would be no point ignoring him, if I did I would've never been able to have a say in anything anyway.
"A giant hand moving towards you. Tell me you wouldn't have acted the same way?" I bit my bottom lip, awaiting his response.
I admit, it took at lot of courage to try not to stutter, shake, or create a high pitched voice, as well as control my nervous laughter. A smile graced his features once more before he spoke.
"Maybe. Though, that would never happen." He grinned, not seeming to care about my slight attitude this time. He didn't even seem surprised that I spoke, it was as if he were expecting it.
"You can't be too sure..." I muttered, remembering how I would never have thought that anything like this would happen to me. It's evident in books that this stuff is fiction; it's not meant to occur in real life.
"And why's that?" He questioned, his hand twitching slightly as if resisting the urge to grab me.
"Never mind." I sighed. "And don't even think about touching me." I briefly shot a glare at him, slowly gaining my confidence back.
He laughed again. I wished that he would stop laughing, as each time it reminded me of the beginning of our awkward encounter, that literally occurred a few minutes ago.
"I'm Anthony by the way." He announced, placing his finger in front of me as if summoning me to shake it, like a pathetic handshake that should never ever have to occur... Ever.
"Alexa." I muttered, not touching his finger. I had to stifle a smile as his own grin once again faded.
"Woah. That's never happened before." He stated, acting dramatically shocked. In literally two seconds he regained his annoying, hot facial expression.
"Can I pick you up now?" Anthony added, gesturing picking me up with his hands. Honestly, I didn't expect him to ask me. I was thankful that I had a say in this, but extremely surprised.
"No." I said bluntly.
"Please. I'll be gentle." He pleaded.
"Nope." I glared, crossing my arms over my chest.
"If you don't say yes I'll grab you." He threatened, grinning.
Forget what I had said previously...
"You know what. I don't even care." I huffed, hastily brushing a piece of my hair out of my face.
"You're a gem, really." He smirked, reaching his hand out towards me. I gulped as his almost tree-sized fingers swiftly wrapped around my body, engulfing me in his fist as he brought me up to his colossal face.
I gasped at the height. I must've looked so tiny. This once again, caused me to feel uncomfortable, especially as he scanned my figure, examining me as if I were some sort of strange object.
"Hey, how did you even get there?" Anthony questioned, looking me up and down.
"You think I know?" I snapped. "And stop looking at me, I don't like it." I added, feeling a little flustered. He furrowed his brows before speaking.
"You know, this feels like a movie." He blurted out. I rolled my eyes, though I agreed with his point. This was very much like a movie, it was too surreal to be true, yet- it was true!
"I guess it does." I admitted, not even considering fidgeting. If I were to fall, that would've been the end of me.
"Maybe we should pretend this is a movie. Wanna try?" His eyes twinkled mischievously as he grinned.
"You sure have a lot of free time." I muttered, sighing. This had already begun to feel tiring.
