Laura POV
It was a Friday afternoon, In New York. The sun was shining and i was about to leave for bens. I heard a knock at the door and glanced at the cream coloured watch face strapped to my arm. '4:30' it read.
I quickly finished buttoning the front of my floaty summer dress, and headed to the door. I rang the intercom.
"Who is it?" I ask, politely.
"Erm, hey. Erm, my names Taylor. My brother told me I owe you a thankyou?"
Taylor POV
"Taylor? Erm, Taylor Schilling?"
"Y..Yes" I stutter. I was nervous. This women had saved my life. How could I thank her for something this important?
"Oh. Yeah, Erm, Come up"
"Okay"
I heard a buzzing and the door swung open. I climbed the 3 sets of stairs and reached a black door with the number '42' in brass attached to the front. I walk over and breath in deeply. I put my knuckle against the wood and bang lightly 3 times. The door immediately opens, and a tall women is stood before me. I look up at her, stunned by her beauty. Her emerald green eyes, her soft looking lips, her pale white skin, her dark black hair. And the sweet summer dress she was sporting with a leather jacket and flat white sandals. She looked beautiful. I stared for a bit too long, and I knew this when she said,
"Sorry, is there something on my face?"
"Oh no, i was just...Erm, Nice to meet you. I'm Taylor"
"Laura" she said back.
Laura POV
"Laura" i say back.
We don't speak. We just look at each other. My eyes scan her body. Her toned figure is showed off through the tight tank top she is sporting, with light blue denim jeans, which hang just above her ankles. On her feet she styled white converse, and a small ankle bracelet. Her blonde hair falls curly against her shoulders and her bright blue eyes glisten as I look at them. We were staring at each other. And we were both liking what we saw.
We were interrupted, by my neighbour bringing in her shopping. She pushed Taylor slightly as sauntered through the halls of the tiny apartment block. This sent Taylor forward, leaning against me. I caught her, and helped her stabilise again. I felt a familiar buzz when I touched her skin. A feeling of warmth, security. She just blushed and looked up at me again.
"Come in" i say, as i gesture her into the house.
"Okay" she said, almost in a whisper, still looking at me.
Once she was in i closed the door behind us. I led her over to the side where we both sat down timidly. She looked at me again, and then started to speak.
"Okay, so I know that I pretty much owe you my life. And there is no way that i can thankyou enough for what you did for me. But I'm here now, and I just wanted to say that, I'm grateful, and I always will be. Thankyou Laura. You saved me." With the last words, a tear fell from her right eye and traveled down her face, landing gently on her hand with a tiny splash. I noticed, and moved gently forward, a little, but not enough that come on to strong. We were still quite a distance away on my long leather sofa, be close enough to make contact if necessary, which i thought it now was. I reached out my hand and laid it on top of hers. She looked up briefly, and sighed before scooting closer.
Taylor POV
I move closer, our knees now touching. I can hear her breathing, slowly, deeply. I look up at her eyes again. At her pale lips. They're inviting, but they look hesitant. I don't even know this girl. But for some reason I can't help and think of her in this way. She is holding my hand now, my fingers intertwined with hers, and it feels so right. I turn my body into her, and pull mine up to hers, so I am resting in her arms. She is holding me, and doesn't pull away when I tuck my legs up into her chest and put my arms round her neck. A wave of emotion comes over me as I cry into her shoulder. I can feel her strong hand on my back, and I know. She's holding me too.
Laura POV
I hear her breathing change. It becomes shallower ,lighter. I realise she must have fallen asleep. She is lay on me, her calves resting on my thighs, her arms around my neck, and her face tucked into my shoulder. I move gently, so I don't wake her. I pick her up, bridal style and carry her slowly to my bedroom. I lay her down on my bed, removing her shoes and pulling the cover over her. I turn off the lights and shut the door quietly behind me. I walk into my kitchen, happy, sad and mostly confused. I have this feeling when I'm with her. I want to kiss her. I want to hold her. And all them 'just friends' feelings have gone. I want her. But she doesn't even know me. And there is no way that she'll feel the same. Shit. I forgot something. My Boyfriend. What the fuck am I going to do now?
