You stayed with Jackson's family for years, his parents adored you, treating you like you were royalty. But the longer you stayed the more worried Jackson became. He thought you were perfect, whether you were reading or sleeping, anything you did he couldn't help but watch you and think you were perfect.

Which was exactly why he panicked that you might suddenly want to chase the scattered memories that had slowly come back. There were still a few black out moments, Melissa wasn't sure if you'd even fully remember, which worried Jackson when he realised a few of the lost memories involved your very persistent ex.

"Aren't you excited?" You hummed as you flopped onto the bed and watch as Jackson buttoned his shirt.

"That we're back in Beacon Hills, or that I'm working alongside Stilinski's Dad?" He asked and you shrugged.

"I'm excited to see everyone again, your parents are coming over and then Melissa's stopping by for dinner." You grinned and he shrugged on his jacket as he grabbed at the jacket the Sherriff had sent him.

"That sounds incredibly boring." Jackson stopped in the door way and smiled when you took his hand and followed him downstairs.

"Yes the incredibly boring life of the pre-housewife... I'm just kidding Jackson, I'm having coffee with Lydia in a bit so we can talk about advertising her company." You flashed him a grin that had the boy nodding.

"Alright just be careful, if he finds out you're back home he might..." Jackson trailed off and made you promise to call him the minute you felt like anything was off.

"I'm so sorry, he's always forgetting little things." Lydia laughed as she hurried you to Stiles' office so she could give him whatever he'd forgotten.

You spotted Jackson advising some people in a room the other end of the corridor and waved, he returned with a quick smile, subtly winking when they weren't looking at him before turning his attention back to the meeting.

Lydia hurried back out, muttering under her breath, as she grabbed your arm and headed back out to her car. Your meeting with her was fun, you'd missed Beacon Hills and even though all your friends in the town were friends you'd met through Jackson.

"So how serious are you and Jackson." Lydia asked once you'd packed away the advertisement plans you'd gone over.

"Oh um... I don't really know." You muttered and she raised an eyebrow as she sipped from her cup.

"Well if he hasn't found someone else to entertain him the entire time you two have known each other then he's clearly serious." She chuckled and grabbed at her purse as the two of you prepared to leave.

"(Y/N) ... (Y/N)!" The familiar voice had your stomach dropping. And Lydia clutched onto your arm when your ex stepped in front of you.

"Oh hi." You muttered and he went to hug you.

"I haven't seen you since you and Jackson moved out of the third house at college." He said and Lydia hummed.

"Yes well you weren't supposed to turn up at the first three." She glared at him and he tried to push between the two of you.

"Now that you're back we can go out for dinner." He decided and you stepped closer to Lydia.

"I can't I'm very busy and I don't think Jackson could get any time off seeing as he's just started..." You babbled as Lydia shuffled you towards her car.

"You're still with Jackson?" He spat and you didn't answer as you ducked into the car.

Your head rested on Jackson's shoulder as he slept, you couldn't sleep, despite the high-tech alarm system, you were wide awake. Jackson jerked awake when a loud bang jolted you and you gripped onto his arm.

"Hey it's alright, call Parrish, he should be on duty." You scrambled to the edge of the bed and called Parrish who had a cruiser at the house before Jackson had finished checking what was going on downstairs.

You slowly padded down the carpeted stairs and found them chatting in the hallway. Jackson grabbed your arm to stop you going forward far enough to see out into the street.

"Thanks, sorry to get you up to the house so late." Jackson shook Parrish's had and he nodded.

"It's fine I hope this time he doesn't come back." Parrish said before wishing you both a goodnight which was when you spotted your ex watching from the cruiser.

"Hey, hey... (Y/N) ... it's alright." Jackson cooed as you started to panic and he clicked the door shut.

"I remember what happened in the woods when you found me." you whispered as he hugged you and for a few seconds he stiffened.

"You do?" He whispered and for a moment he'd convinced himself you were about to leave.

"He was getting creepy and Mrs Argent noticed when we were at school and I tried to... follow her advice and put some distance between us." You explained and Jackson winced kissed the tiny scar that remained from when he'd found you.

"Well this time I'll get Dad's firm to deal with him." Jackson promised and trailed up to bed with you still clung to him. "I'll keep you safe."

Jackson's promise was the last thing you heard as he sat next to you and stroked your hair until you'd relaxed and fallen asleep.
