I'M ALIVE! Just kidding. Though sorry I haven't posted anything recently... feels great to be back though : D
"Hey Sophie!" Dex called form his movie room, or the 'cinema' as he liked to call it, "Come help me pick the movie!"
"Coming!" Sophie yelled back from the kitchen piling as many last fluffcreams, ripplenuts, and prattles she could on the ornate china plate before hurrying off carefully, trying not to let any fall off.
The movie room was a cozy dark room at least twice the size of her small living room in San Diego. As soon as Sophie clumsily closed the door with her foot she was summerged in a darkness so black she wasn't entirely sure she had eyes. Thankfully her vision adjusted slightly and she walked forward with one hand in front of her toward the smudged of black that looked like the couch. Where was Dex?
"Boo!"
Sophie screamed so loud she was sure someone halfway across the universe could have heard her. Her hands flew up flinging the precious sweets in every direction. The lights turned on revealing a certain elf dying of laughter on a huge couch.
"Dex! You scared me half to death!" Sophie's yelled, her heart still racing.
"Sorry," he apologized, but he was still grinning. Sophie went to pick up the sweets (thankfully the soft carpet had cushioned the plate's fall), as Dex sorted through the movies.
"So Sophie what should it be: Batman: The Dark Night Rises... The Little Mermaid... The Hobbit... Guardians of the Galaxy, ooh that one sounds pretty cool, or Star Wars: A New Hope?" Dex listed, trying to correctly pronounce every syllable in english, and he did pretty well but he had a bit of a lisp and a thick 'enlightened accent'. Sophie looked over his shoulder to see the covers of each movie.
Sophie thought for a bit, some of these movies were new. "Well, my dad always used to watch Star Wars with me ever since I was little, and I think you would like it. It's kind of of got your magic-y sci-fi future vibe, besides all human geeks love it, I don't see why it would be any different for elvin geeks..." she looked at him through the corner of her eye.
"Hey!" he said crossing his arms dramaticly, making a pouty face too ridiculous to describe. They both started cracking up.
"So, shall we start the film, madame?" Dex asked as he slipped the CD into the movie player. The movie turned on with world wide famous anthem and yellow font.
Sophie plopped down on the huge black couch, and sank in to it's fluffy pillows. The couch was by far the comfiest couch she had ever sat upon. She grabbed the heavy blanket from the side and quickly cacooned herself in the soft velvety fabric. Dex scooted over closer to her, the plate of regathered treats and a bowl warm buttery cloud like popcorn between them.
After awhile of some serious competitive eating with Dex, Sophie felt stuffed and dozed off in the first 20 min into the movie, even though she wasn't exactly lulled to sleep by the blasting laser guns and explosions in the background.

The next morning she woke up gently. What time was it? She tossed and turned a bit before finally managing to open her eyes to... darkness? The room was still black and the large black velvety curtains were still drawn guarding the room from any light wishing to sneak in by any means but the the projectoraloXYZ123 or... whatever Dex called it.
Sophie buried her face in the soft couch pillow one last time before turning around with a groan. To her surprise the movie was still playing and Dex was still there next to her watching hypnotized by the colorful sabers swinging around the screen. He must have paused it last night to finish it in the morning.
