Chapter Five

I woke up feeling refreshed. Memories of last night flooded into my head, fuck-Clarke! I sat up quickly and looked around.

“Clarke?” I called out as I made my downstairs.

No reply. I looked around and it seemed that Clarke was gone and no traces of him remained. How rude, invite someone into your house for the night and they don’t even say goodbye. Erggg. I started getting ready for school pushing my annoyance with Clarke to one side, I was happy it was Friday!

“Alisha, Jake’s party tonight.” Said Kay running up to me.

“I know.” I smiled.

This girl got excited over the smallest of things, but it made her even more cute.

“What you wearing? You’re coming house right? What time should we go at?”

“Kay?”

“Yeah?”

“Breathe. I don’t know what I’m wearing. I’m coming yours and whenever your brother can give us a lift.”

“Okay.” Said Kay flashing a smile and skipping away.

I chuckled, that girl was really something else.

“What’s so funny.” Came from a male’s voice behind me.

I spun round to come face to face with Jake.

“Nothing.”

He looked at me strangely before draping his arm around my shoulder and guiding me to my lesson; I swear this boy knew my timetable better than I did.

“So you still coming tonight?” said Jake as he dropped me to my class.

“Yeah, defo!”

“Cool I will see you tonight.”

“Cool.” I replied before ducking into my classroom.

All day the talk was about Jake’s up and coming party. Well he was famous for throwing some of the craziest parties in the whole school. The teachers tried get the class to focus but there really wasn’t any point.

“You and Jake are pretty close aren’t you?” asked Daisy turning around.

“Yeah?” I said getting defensive, this girl was annoying.

“Um, I was just wondering if you could my friend invited?” she asked nervously.

I instantly felt bad.

“Just ask Jake to put her on the guest list he won’t mind.” I reassured her.

“Another party." Said a voice I instantly recognised.

“You.” I accused narrowing my eyes at him.

“I was under the impression that my name was Clarke but ‘you’ could work.” He smirked.

“I hate you.”

“Keep telling yourself that.”

“Are you going to the party?”

“I got invited.”

He avoided the question.

“Clarke.” I said with warning.

“No, I got better things to do.”

“Be nice cause I still haven’t forgiven you for yesterday.”

“Yesterday?” piped Daisy.

Clarke gave her the coldest stare which had her turning back around quickly. I glared at him, he was so unnecessarily rude.
