It-was-horrible. First the music man had the music too loud, it was crowded and worst of all, there was no food except packaged things that didn't want to open.
"How do these things open?"Storm asked as she tugged on the packaging with her teeth. Written across the front in white lettering was 'Sweet Rice Crisps'.
Jay placed his hand on her shoulder."Ask Mango to open it,"he whispered.
Storm looked over at Mango who had her nose in a book titled 'Wings of Ice: the Prophecy '. With the package hanging from her mouth, she walked over to Mango and dropped it on her book.
"Open,"she commanded.
Mango looked at her, then set down her book and grabbed the package. She held it with one hand, and with a motion of the other, took on of the ridges in that hand and pulled down, opening it. Storm watched her do it, and felt stupid.
"Well, thank you, Mango. Your expertise were well used,"she said grabbing her food back, taking it out of the packaging and stuffing the whole thing in her face.
Jay came up behind her."You know, the other humans are bitting their's,"he whispered. Storm paused in chewing the rice crisp, and bit off the part that wasn't in her mouth.
"Well, I can eat however I want,"she declared with her mouth full."Wow! This is so good!"
Mango looked up from her book."Yeah, It's one of your favorite foods."
Storm looked at her."How do you know that? Are you a spy?"
Mango rolled her eyes."No, we were best friends until you became upsets with becoming a writer, and you never talked to me, you just talked to yourself about what your characters should do."
Storm's eyes widened."Why did I do that?"She asked, taking another bite of her treat.
"Well, you just didn't like this world and you couldn't become the 'queen' of Electric High, so you just hid in jeans and a sweatshirt,"Mango paused when she saw Jay behind her."And you never talked to anyone but him,"she pointed with her book to Jay."He took me, so I've hid behind the covers of books."
Storm felt bad for Mango."I can be your friend again."
Mango looked at her."If only that were true,"she muttered.
Storm thought for a bit while she finished her rice crisp. Wait, Jay, Blossom and I are stuck here. If we find out the source, then we can be freed. I'll just have to get her as our guide! Storm went to open her mouth, when Blossom sat down and began talking to Mango.
"I can't believe how good this drink is! It's all bubbly in my tummy!"Blossom said as she took a sip from a small cup with dark fizzing liquid.
Mango nodded, then stood up and walked down the hall right of where she was sitting."I need to pack up if I want to catch my bus,"she said.
Storm got up and chased her."Cool, can we be friends?"She asked, leaning on Mango. Mango shoved her off, even though she was a head taller than her.
"No, you hurt me once, I won't let that happen again,"she said, picking up her pace.
Storm still followed."You know, I could take you on an-"
"No."
"We can stop evil-"
"No."
"You will save me and the other world I come from,"Storm said before Mango interrupted.
Mango stopped, turned to a wall of metal rectangles and crouched before one with the number, 3,042."What?"
Storm looked at her feet."You can save me and the other world I came from?"
Mango stood up and pulled out a bag with strapped on the back. She set it down and started packing away books and folders."Other world? That explains a lot."She looked up while she put a box away."Is that true, Blossom?"
Storm turned around and saw Blossom standing behind them."Yes, where is my stuff like that?"She asked.
Mango pointed to a metal rectangle next to her, then the one on the other side."That one is yours, Blossom, and the other is yours, Storm. Oh, and Jay, your's is the next one."
Jay nodded, and twisted the back and white dial. Storm and Blossom did the same. Even though they had never done this, it seemed natural. Storm put in her numbers, 25, 33, 0. Then she pulled up on the weird handle, a click sounded and it opened.
Inside was lined paper with scribbles on them in the inside of the door held up by magnets or tack. Then in the storage part was a blue wire shelf with a blue and black binder and notebooks on it. Under that was a pile of paper that were drawn on, written on or both. Holding that down was a pencil box, Storm had an urge not to touch it. Above the binders and notebooks was a tan shelf with a hook and on top was a book titled 'Algerbra' in black lettering, a thin book with a tie-die pattern, a silver computer and multiple books. On the hook hung a pink and gray bag just like Mango's.
Storm grabbed it and pulled a folder off of the binder and put that in her bag. Next was the silver computer, the multiple books, a phone that she didn't see and one of the notebooks titled 'Writing Ideas'. She put the bag on her shoulders and waited with Mango, Blossom and Jay for the bell to ring.
Once the bell rung, a flood of teenagers came out of the dance room, and down the hallways. The group made their way up stream to another four sets of double doors, and out into a wide walk way. There were yellow rectangles lined up along the edge of the walk way.
Storm slid up to Mango."Which bus is mine?"She asked.
Mango nodded for her to follow."You and Jay are going to your house, while Blossom and I go to mine. It has been planed. I over head your conversation with your boyfriend."She paused and nodded to a rectangle on wheels that had that number '903'."That's your bus, see you tomorrow. Oh, and if you need anything, remember you have a phone."Mango pointed out a rectangle surrounded in a rainbow case.
Storm nodded, and walked over to her bus. Until now, she hadn't noticed her wings, but walking trough the buses reminded her of her wings.
As she and Jay walked up the steps and into the bus, that was when her wings decided to be annoying. She had to squeeze into the small door way because of her big wings. Jay helped her through.
The ride home was nice, except for the noise. To occupy her time, Storm talked to Jay.
"So how did you manage to convince Mango to be your friend?"He asked.
Storm looked at her hands."I told her she would be saving me and the other world I come from,"she whispered.
Jay nudged her."Nice going, you should have seen your face when I grabbed your hand."
Storm laughed self concisely, and brushed a strand of hair out of her face."Well, did you feel the same?"she asked.
He nodded."What do you think will happen when we get back?"He asked.
Storm shrugged, and looked out the window. The bus had stopped at a corner, and Storm had a feeling this is where they get off. She picked up her bag, and lead Jay out of the bus. They walked up the street in silence and opened the door to a large white and bay colored house. When they looked inside, there was a flash and human Cloud was seen lying on the floor.
