POV: Seulgi
Me and Irene were in a sort of awkward phase but it still felt amazing and exciting. I don't know if there is ever going to be a part in my life where I don't enjoy my time with her. I have come to find out that Irene is one of the easiest people to talk to. She seems to know what to say and how to react.
For all those reasons I was very surprised to find out that many people didn't like her.
She came up in conversation while I was acting like a love struck teen. My friends noticed and when I told them about why they said they knew her and they were friends but Irene started acting mean or something and there was a big argument.
So now I was at my house with Irene. We were both looking at the ceiling. When she brought up the old topic.
"So... I talked to an old friend" she started
"They told me I should.. I should leave you"
"WHAT?! WHO TOLD YOU THAT!" I said
"And I think maybe they might be right" she said quitely. I sat up and looked at her she looked sad and regretful.
"They're not"
"What if they are?"
"Listen whatever is happening, which I don't want to hear the details about , we can deal with it together. I don't like being apart from you." I said seriously
"What if I mess this up? What if this is what can protect both of our feelings ?"
"Irene do you hear yourself... Do you think I could just forget you like that.. Do you think I could just leave you like that? "
"I've got a reputation for completely fucking up relationships you know. I think you would have had to hear about it. Maybe not what happened but at least some bad stuff. " she said. She still hadn't stopped looking at the ceiling.
"I don't care. Whatever you've done in the past is just that in the past. And we will navigate this relationship together."
"Promise?" She said finally sitting up and looking at me with tears in her eyes.
I looked at her with confidence while promising her. We sealed the deal with a solid pinky promise. Before I pulled her into a hug putting as much love into it as possible.
