Valla shakily walked over to the living room of her house and slowly slid down the wall. She hugged her knees to her chest and slowly started rocking back and forth, placing her forehead on her knees.
'Why do humans hurt each other like that?' Valla thought, thinking back to when she found Naruto. He was so close to death that he didn't even feel it when she had burned some of his wounds closed.
"Are you regretting your decision?" The voice echoed throughout the room, coming from no clear source. But it was expected considering who it was.
"What do you want Blaze?" Valla replied, she had stopped rocking by then but she didn't move her head.
"Just stopping by to see how your doing. And make you reconsider the risk your about to take." Blaze snarled.
A figure appeared on the other side of the room, or a shadow of one at least. Black tendrils of smoke-like stuff came off Blaze, her eyes a pure, glowing white.
Valla finally looked up at Blaze, silent tears falling from eyes that were full of seemingly endless pain and sadness.
"I'm not going back to the void." Valla said, in English to get her point across to the shadow creature in front of her.
The creators glowing eyes narrowed, looking for the siltiest hint of weakness in the others gaze. But found none.
"How can you still love them? Especially after what they did to you?!" Blaze snarled, rage clear in her voice. Valla just gave her a small sad smile.
"They were afraid, humans lash out when they're afraid. And I couldn't blame them if I wanted to anyway. And besides, what's done is done." Sorrow was laced in Valla's voice as she spoke.
Unbeknownst to Blaze and Valla, Naruto and Kurama were watching them from Naruto's mindscape. Naruto's wasn't sure how, be he could understand the language they were speaking in. And doing his best to translate his tenant.
"They wiped out your entire family. How can you FORGIVE them for THAT!?!" Blaze yelled.
"You know why, it's in my base instincts to protect what I hold dear. And Geni would have my head if I hated humans. My whole family would."
Naruto and Kurama looked at each other. Valla had clearly been through a lot of pain. 'She's probably had it worse than I have.' Naruto thought, if only he knew.
Blaze sneered at Valla, and disappeared without another word.
