It's not like I was waiting for Thursday. No. Not one single bit.
I finished the book in a day -no surprise there- and I decided to rather join Alex on Thursday to discuss it. I like to discuss books. It gives you an open mind about them, makes you see other people's point of view. No one can really feel the same as they read the same book, since we are all different. Entirely.
But I can't seem to get her out of my mind. Her softly tanned skin and her auburn-colored hair. Her neatly long legs and her incredibly full, pink lips. I must have been completely dazed by her as I stared, swift motions as she walked, perfect pronunciation as she talked. She was a real vivid image of a near perfect girl.
But all girls like that have a flaw.
They seem so normal and extraordinary and just, as said, perfect. And the most perfect girl you could ever find, one like those, they always seem to have that one flaw. Whether they are mean to others or they have the nastiest laugh. It can be anything.
I didn't want to get my hopes up with her. There's so many things that could be off about her. And yet, I felt intrigued, curious, uneasy about her.
I felt attracted to her.

"You didn't like Marcus?"
She shook her head, making her short hair limp around a bit. She must have seen my expression, pure confusion written on my features, because she laughed a little before speaking.
"He is sexist, mediocre, masochistic, and a complete ass. His actions are impulsive and he can never seem to explain why he hates Ryan. He thinks he is her whole world, yet he's never on her mind. And, besides that, he can't -ever- think about anybody but himself. He's very self centered."
I looked at her, the argument already on my mind as I let out a breath and let the words come out. "But that's the whole point to his character. Sure, he's mediocre and sexist and what not, but he had a reason to be so. His parents never loved him, his brothers always hit him and nobody liked him. So, instead of making him a shy, hurt-like underdog, the author chose to make him rise as evil and selfish. I mean, he was just desperate for her love. He believed she loved him, he wanted her to love him."
Alex bit her lip and looked at a random point in the distance -her concentrated look, I discovered- and then turned back to me, her expression honest and thoughtful. "I had never thought of it that way," she declared. "Thank you, Liam Payne."
I let out a small laugh, my expression lighting up rapidly as I let the soft chuckles roll of my lips. "Why Liam Payne?" I asked.
"Well, that's your name, isn't it?" Alex figured.
"Yes, but there's no need to be so formal."
"On the contrary," she replied, "one has to take every chance he or she has to be formal. It is not only a way to appear twice as smart as one is, but it is the easiest way to make a lasting impression on somebody. If I were to speak to you in an everyday manner, I'm sure you wouldn't be half as impressed as you are now."
Her blue eyes gleamed at me, her smile now somewhat cocky and proud. She was right. One of the things that seemed to appear even more attractive about her was the fact that her vocabulary was well extended and her grammar was nearly flawless.
I was awed by her complexion, her physical features. Her small hands, complemented with long, skinny fingers; her long tanned legs; her slender frame; with everything in its place. Her right nose, slightly pointy at the end; her thick, pink, soft-as-silk-appearing lips; her immense blue eyes.
Just her, all of her. She impressed me, filled me with a certain uneasy feeling that warmed my insides at the same time. I couldn't explain it, I couldn't quite place a word for it, but I liked the way she made me feel -free, open, happy even. She made me feel like another version of myself, one I had maybe locked away without knowing it.
"So," she spoke, her voice soft as butter, making me come back to reality. "At what time are you picking me up?"
A/N: Okay, so I'm finishing this on my phone, and it is somewhat short, but I liked it and I hope you like it too.
Thank you for the votes, it means a lot, and please don't forget to vote, comment and share this story around.
I hope you're liking the characters as well as the story itself. A lot of things will happen, don't worry. I'm just setting things up first.
